I've approached many girls (and boys, and etc., yay pansexuality!), in attempt to flirt, engage conversation, try to befriend them or try to commit to something more. And I've tried many different approaches, corny jokes, lame pick up lines, classic cheesy stuff, straight forward requests and many more.

Except, nothing seems to work (not that I'm an ugly monster or anything). Which made me feel like, everyone is only accepting of a lottery-level luck of hitting every sweet spot, at the exact time, exact place and pace. And even though, I've had some lucky rolls, I've been ditched because I quote "You're so good, it's creepy - you're too good. It's suspicious... Have you been stalking me?".

Nobody's really given me a chance, and I'm left with this impression that unless the person lands a lottery jackpot, there will be broken hearts. So I wonder if it's just me growing in a flowerpot, or there's something more to it.

Do YOU give your potential partner a thorough chance to examine them and test them out, or just bail out the moment it doesn't prove to be dazzlingly perfect?

So the whole thing in a nutshell...

I became good friends with a girl, I fell for her kind of hard.

My best friend's girlfriend, who doesn't actually know her and has only met her 3 times (all of which I was there for as well) decided to tell me I shouldn't talk to her anymore, and said she was annoying, loud, and seemed slutty and standardless. Honestly at the time, I felt like she said these things looking out for me...

I decided to ignore her and keep talking to the girl anyway. We've been on a date, we talk regularly...

Anyway, the girl messages me last night, asking why my best friend randomly deleted her, and says she assumes it was under orders from his girlfriend... She then confides in me that my best friend's girl friend was talking shit about her to people, and apparently for no reason (I do know that both my friend and her like to do this...)

She goes on about it for a while... and I can't hold it back, cuz honestly I really like this girl, and just holding in this shitty stuff she had said about her really hurt me so I confirmed that yeah, she had been the one that did this... then she asked me what she said, and again, I couldn't lie to her... So I told her everything, under the condition it stays between us...

but now Even though I trust she won't spill it, I can't look my best friend's girlfriend in the eyes and I feel so shitty for betraying her, even if she was in the wrong but I couldn't lie to this girl I care about either...

Side note... She asked me not to tell them we talked, but out of curiosity I inquired with my best friend why he deleted her (I said I was just looking at her profile and noticed, it wwas believable cuz we were just joking about FB stalking the week before) and he said he didn't delete her but that she must have deleted him, then went on to tell me not to ask her about it cuz he didn't want her or anyone else to think he gave a fuck (he recently angered one of her friends and assumed she deleted him for that)

My question is am I in the wrong here? Can I salvage this? I don't know I really want any oppinion at all cuz the last thing I wanted to do was incite drama... but I also couldn't lie to her... I'm just fucking lost...

She was showing signals that she likes me, eg: enlarge puples, mild flirting and we had this conversation over text where she called me cupcake and used :p, :) a lot. It was a fantasy conversation about being lost at sea and she started it. I wanted to tell her I like her (I have for some time).

Any ideas to what this means?This was 4 weeks ago. Since, she has stared at me constantly in assembly and her friends and herself are stalking me on Facebook. We have started talking again same way as before (the staring remains but we no longer text). At one point she said "the tranquil gentleman" (me) and the "psycho rocker" (her). A perfect combination :p (that was over text just before this). Also I found out that she was evesdropping on my conversations with friends.
