Search Results: when should a guy stop pursuing a girl

I find that guys with no dating experience are ready to pursue a girl regardless of what she does, if she doesn't respond they send more messages, if she says i don't wanna date anyone atm he gives her reasons to date him, if she does this he does that... basically he will do everything in his power to make her date him and that works sometimes (but very uncommon), and guys who do that are usually guys who have not dated before, never actually had to deal with women or their behavior.

I acted like that once at 18 but at 19 i changed considerably (and go to date and speak to plenty of girls) and stopped acting like that, these days i show interest in a girl who shows signs of interest in me, i approach her, say hi and chat for few days then see her reaction if she gets back to and seems happy talking to me then she's worth my time , if she just sits there waiting for my messages (regardless of how interesting her replies may be) and never initiates anything ever then its safe to assume that :1- she doesn't like me or 2-she's spoiled beyond repair , so i just move on to a girl whom i click with more.

If i am dating her i will treat her well and with love but before actually making her my girlfriend i dont see why i should be putting my self respect on the line for a girl who may or may not like me, so what are your thoughts?
