I have recently moved to Texas from Minnesota with my Mom, and so far I hate it here. My Aunt and Uncle are getting their noses in my business and lifestyle as well as my mother’s. My Aunt is very controlling and oppressive in my opinion and she never has anything good to say about anything I do it seems. I take every chance to get away from her as I can. But she’s not the only problem, my Cousins are older than me by several years and though they are good people they are very distant and I can’t seem to make friends. We are in the middle of some no where town down here (not that my previous location was too much better but...). The only positive thing so far is the local College.

And as much as I have been miserable and so on, my friends back North are not really around anymore, all married and Pregnant. But, there’s a lot back home I can still go back to. The company I worked for would take me back. I would live with my Dad and see him. I could go see my aging great Aunt and help her as often as I possibly can. I know where everything is, and my actions are not questioned by anyone that I currently know.

I’ve decided as soon as we are officially in our new home that I would begin a six month to one year trial. Do you think that’s fair for me to do that? I’d feel bad leaving Mom down here only to visit every six months to a year... and we’ve never been separated before.
