- Wrote "Snap me ;) :*" next to his Snapchat name when he put it into my notes
- Strikes up a conversation when he sees me
- Isn't afraid to talk to me around any of his friends, despite him being older than me
- My best friend told me he "definitely has a crush on me" before she knew I liked him
- Another one of my best friends is constantly trying to set us up, but doesn't know I like him
- I always catch him staring at me when we're around; if I turn around at any given time, he's looking my way, but doesn't react when I look back
- He gets really protective when something happens to me; we've been getting in trouble lately and if he or one of our other friends gets in trouble he's okay with it, but if it's me, ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I have a friend, who I came to know because he served in the Army with my cousin. And he (Tom) and I, started out just texting and facebooking because his hometown was near me. We talked through Facebook while they were deployed, and then we met up on his POst Deployment leave like 2 years ago. Instant connection, and we fell for each other fast. We talked about dating, but never became like Offical. Then I went to Western to visit my friend, and I ended up hooking up with someone while I was down there. I told Tom, and he got mad (which I understand), and we didn't talk for like 3 weeks. We started talking again, and talked about dating. Then he was home for Easter and we had plans to hang out, I drove out there, and he ended up bailing on me for a girl who he made his girlfriend and had met 3 days prior. I didn't know he was dating anyone. We stopped talking altogether, and while he was dating her we both started arguing and just made each others' lives miserable. He EAS'd about 5 months later, and we've hung out, gone on a date, and both have said the connection we had so long ago is still there. But he doesn't want his friends or my cousin to know that we're friends again, which kind of bothers me. He said he feels weird since I'm his friend's cousin, and due to the shit that's gone on in our past. I recently found that he's tagged in pictures with a girl that he used to talk to on Facebook, but set it so I can't see them on his profile page. He said that he wants to wait until this Fall to make him and me dating official, as I'm leaving soon for the Military and he'll be living on campus for college for the first time. I've talked to him about how I feel and he says that he's being totally honest with me. I was supposed to leave Monday for the Military and he was going to come to the hotel and say bye to me Sunday night, but ended up not being able to due to him getting off work late. I'm scared that he's playing me, what do you all think?

I made plans to meet up with a guy I used to know a few years back and had reconnected with recently via Facebook. We live in two different cities so when we finally set up a time to see each other he told me exactly where to go. When I got there I couldn't help but notice how romantic this place was. We were just meeting for a drink but this lounge was inside a very classy and historic hotel in the city lined with grand ceilings and marble floors. The lounge was dimly lit with candles on the tables. It was truly a beautiful place.

We talked forever.. about anything and everything. Afterward, he paid the check and drove me to my car. We gave each other a lingering hug and he squeezed me a bit tighter before I let go. He stated that I should give him a call next time I'm in the city so we can meet up again.

He also told me his up coming schedule (willingly), I'm assuming to warn me he may be pretty busy for the next few weeks (he is pretty successful), however, he did invite me to show up to some work event he is involved in next week. The thing is... We NEVER stated, not once, whether or not this was going to be considered an official date.

Well... this date was over 2 months ago! He seemed to be the shy type so I gave him a couple of "opportunities" to ask me out again, like, "Hey, I'm going to be in town next week for some work stuff but I would love a reason to stay. Will you be free?" Mind you, this is how I got a date with him in the first place. By being a bit forward and flirty. It was getting me results so I kept doing it. However, it started to feel like he was blowing me off so I stopped texting altogether. I need some perspective. Did I come on too strong for him? If so, is there some way I can reverse the damage? We had such a great time, he's had a crush on me for years, but for some reason I haven't seen him since.

Please help, I'm so confused. I can't seem to let this go :(

I've known him for a month, and we were together four times, for hours. Our feelings developed stronger than we both anticipated in such a short amount of time.

I talked to my parents about him, of how much I was happy, and everything. But when I told them he is (31) and I am (25), the fact he lives at home (he's helping his family), and has no car and no license (cause of speeding). They don't feel comfortable with me dating him.

I understand their concerns and worries, but he makes me feel special, he cares about me, he enjoys spending time with me. I mean we literally talk every single day, whether it be text or over the phone.

Anyway, I tried so many ways to get my mom okay with my dating him, I even suggested that he would meet them so he can set their minds at ease and see that they misjudged him.

I really had no choice which isn't fiat to me or to him, cause I'm not even going to get the chance to see what could have happened. So I had told my mom that, I am taking a break from dating/relationships and I am going to focus on getting a good job, and try to re-discover myself. Of course it upsets me, cause it means I won't see the guy I love but I am not about to life and go behind my parents back to see him. And If I say I am seeing him anyway, there's going to be all this hostility living with my parents. I can't bear the thought, it's hard enough as it is.

So I have to end it, and hope that maybe there's a chance we will be together again. Problem is I don't know how. He was my first boyfriend for a week, I don't know if that counts. And he says, "if you give up on us my heart will be crushed."

HELP!!!

Also I'd move out but I don't have enough income yet, I need a better job.
