To be frank, I'm ugly. Always have been ugly and probably always will be ugly and I don't think anything will ever change that but here's the thing - I honestly don't care anymore. Sure it use to bother me seeing all my other guy friends have girls approach them (and my brother) and zero even look at me but it doesn't anymore, it's almost if I've accepted this "ugliness" and just have decided that this is what I am and nothing can change that. I've also decided to stop lying to myself and calling myself " beautiful" and "cute" because while that helps you feel better about your outward appearance, it only lasts for about 5 minutes and I've found out it makes me feel worse knowing that I only feel good about myself because I've consistently told myself the same lie all day.

So like I've stated in the title. does the fact that I consider myself ugly but don't really care show that I'm unconfident? Is it mean my self - esteem is low? Please don't give me no generic coping answers stating "No one is ugly" or "Everyone is beautiful" because this is just a lie. Being physically ugly has nothing to do about how you "think" you look, thinking you're a millionaire doesn't make you one does it? It's all genetic, beautiful people have good looking parents and ugly people have ugly looking parents this is just a part of life. But anyway, is this a sign of unconfidence and if so do I really need to acknowledge it and attempt to fix it again?

I have fallen for a girl who has very low self-esteem, says she doesn't want to date me or anyone else. but wants guys to give her attention.

I am love with her because I love her eyes, personality (she's very shy, but can be a diva), we have a lot of things in common. can talk all night long. But, she says she just wants to be my friend but won't friend me on Facebook although she will with other guys. We've been going through this for 2 1/2 years. I have been with other girls in the meantime (she doesn't know) but can't get her out of my mind.

I am wondering if she's telling me the truth about really not wanting to date me or is she really afraid to get closer because she thinks I'll leave her if we do. She has shown signs of wanting to get closer but each time, she pushes me away and says I need to find someone else who can give me what I deserve - someone who'll love me.

She pushed me away recently and even sent provocative pictures to another guy (apparently he was just flirting with her trying to get laid when he met her and didn't respond to her pictures). She tried to 'let me go' but I let her back in. She said that she doesn't want me to tell her 'I love her', doesn't want the drama right now.
