they talk in a standard American accent with proper American English words?

As someone who's a first generation American of Mexican descent, I wouldn't say that it pisses me off but it does kind of annoy me when other Mexicans in the US call me "white-washed" when ironically, the language they seem to proudly speak is a White European language (Spanish). Just because I refuse to talk like a stupid ghetto hoodrat hopping on the Hip-Hop culture bandwagon or not sound like a stereotypical Mexican or listen to Heavy Metal and Rock music over Mexican music (cumbias, corridos, nortenos, etc.) while I can still assimilate into my country that I was born in (the US) and acknowledge my heritage, doesn't make me "white-washed" or less Mexican.

I suppose what do they call a White European who tries to speak English but with the accent in their country of origin? Talking Mexican? Talking Martian?
