I am 19. I have always lived a very healthy lifestyle. I am a vegetarian, I work out, drink a lot of water. I am usually very happy and chill. I am a very analytical and abstract type. I am an artist. I write, sing, play instruments, I like to dance, go out with my friends, have fun, I love animals, have a pet cat, I like psychology, philosophy, I love sex and I live in the moment and am a hedonist, mostly spiritually.

That's the kind of person I am. I am like that even though I have gone threw physical, emotional, verbal, mental and sexual abuse in my life and all comming from my "family" members. I was doing well for 5 years, especially last year. Every positive changes that I have made are thanks to me: I am my own psychotherapist.

But lately I started obsessing over some things that are not even up to me, but affect me, I'm not gonna go into detail. I am not used to not being in charge. I am very independent and the fact that I cannot help here makes me anxious to the point that I have classical panic attacks. And the topic is something I have always been aware of, yet I never worried about it, because I was too bussy with literaly saving my life at the time. I can't even sleep, I lost interest in the things I usually love to do and bring me joy. I lost weight. It's been like that for a few weeks.

My friends are worried, because they think I am the epitome of strength and that's what I thought, too... I don't wanna let them down. Should I just give myself a break and allow myself to feel vulnerable for once, or is this something serious? I don't wanna go to a psychologist or a psychiatrist.

I see people smoking and it makes me feel relieved just watching them. I have NEVER even held a cigarette, I have a very strong will to resist trying them, but I am afraid I might get addicted and then I DEFINITELY couldn't help myself. I don't wanna be a prisoner of my temptations, I value my independence more than anything...

Should I smoke or not?

So you start dating your best friend who you've had a huge crush on for months - He is caring, shares a similar sense of humour to you, is physically attractive to you, seems to be decently honest & loyal, is understanding when you are anxious/irritated by something rather than being annoyed, reassures you when you need it, and promises on your and his life that you are his one true love and even wants to marry you!

Problem? He doesn't put much effort into the relationship or show much eagerness to see you. After 10 months you have not been on one date together and mainly just hang out in each others houses in one of your rooms all day apart from a few exceptions where you go on a trip with their family or a short trip such as Tesco alone with them. You are growing bored of this. Your mum even keeps saying maybe he's more like a friend.

You fear you are starting to lose interest in him though still like him a bit but things desperately need to be sorted v/soon. You're not sure if he is the right one for you which pains you but you keep feeling uncomfortable about it and your family do not think you have ever been very happy with your boyfriend.

You have spoke to him about it a few times now but only very recently have been firmer with it. He says he will do everything he can to keep you and even gets very upset when he fears losing you, to the point of crying and having "that sinking feeling".

You want to work things out but are worried you may just be pro-longing the break up. He is also currently the only guy you are all that interested in and possibly the only one who is that understanding of your problems.

You see each other twice a week for 9 hours though it used to be just once a week + he has in the past cancelled meeting with excuses like being tired and his leg and back aching a bit from when he went on Alton Towers ride.
