Search Results: am i smothering him

I'm talking about when deciding if you love someone after they've already said they love you. When you sometimes feel like you do love someone, but other times feel like you don't/back to being unsure. So you don't want to say yes and lie to them, but don't want to say no because you do really care about them just not sure if you're in love. Could it be that the person's behavior is contributing to that? Like when you feel you don't it's because they're being too smothering, etc. but when you feel you do it's because they're giving you the space you need and want? Then, when the person who says they love you shows that they care about you in whatever way it may be, it makes you more uncomfortable and unsure because you feel pressured to reciprocate? You begin to blame yourself and think something is wrong with you for wondering why you don't feel the same way which only makes it harder to figure it all out?


I know most people will say if you're not sure then you probably don't, and I agree to an extent. But I feel like that's not always true.
