Can you compliment your girlfriend too much?

I make sure my heart knows how beautiful she is and how loved she is EVERYDAY. I tell her she's beautiful about 10+ times a day, keep in mind my use of the word beautiful describes her as a whole. Mind body and spirit. I tell her I love her every hour almost. I make sure she knows when she goes to bed and when she wakes up. She had a shit example of love with her ex and I am insanely in love with her, like I'm smiling just texting about her. so I try to make sure she never doubts how much of a blessing she is to me. Just wondering if women get tired of this? 😣 first one I've actually let in and I really don't want to run her off by being too nice or loving or smothering or whatever. Which is apparently a problem in the females of my generation.

Sometimes it gets to be too much or the words lose their meaning to someone if you don't show them. Be creative with your ways of saying it, comment on different factors or check up on her to show her you care instead of just saying you love her. As long as she knows you mean what you say or you actually show what you say, she should understand that you aren't just saying it to say it.

😁 I try. I was alone for a very long time so when she gave me a chance I gave her 500% and didn't really give thought to being clingy or smothering. I was raised to pick one so I tend to be a bit of an overachiever with love I guess haha

it's nice that she's got someone who appreciates her so much - she shouldn't take you for granted. however, don't be too excessive with the compliments - they won't be as meaningful anymore and it does get a tad repetitive and annoying.

True. I'm just trying to make sure she doesn't go back to how her ex made her feel. He ignored her daily and cheated so I don't want her to be in that position again mentally or physically. Maybe I should just ask her if I should cut back? I give her space, I'm not blowing her phone up with texts or anything, but when we do talk I sneak some pick up lines and compliments in here n there haha.

You can do that yes. Like anything that happens a lot it can get repetitive. So spice it up go without a few days occasionally and then love her a lot. Another important thing is communication. Talk with her and get her ideas on it.

I've been contemplating asking her. She's not that open with her feelings after her ex is all. She gets embarrassed like she's not suppose to have an opinion. Dude was a real control freak so I understand how it got embedded into her mind.

O I know a girl like that and my freind is always having a hard time knowing what she wants or does not want. Try asking her about things and eventually she will slowly open up.

Too much of a good thing, bro. She will inevitably begin to take it for granted and it will lose its value. Plus, she will lose respect for you over time. There are exceptions, but that is typical female nature.

Too much compliments will lose the meaning. My boyfriend does the same and finally I'm very tired of it. I wanted to show him something, but I haven't shown it to him, he already said wow, it's very beautiful. That sounds really rubbish.
