Real boxing match? Why? What type of person would ask their partner for a boxing match? It's suppose to be a loving relationship and we're close friends, not enemies. I want to complement you in the relationship, not compete with you. I don't want to fight you nor anyone.
Unless it's a sport and we're my sparring partner in class, he has no business asking for a boxing match. This has got to be an immediate red flag.

No. I grew up on the street from age 13. I've had to fight for my life a few times, including being surrounded by 4 guys, pistol whipped and ending up with fractured ribs and a partially collapsed lung. I don't want to be touched in an aggressive manner, nor will I do that... to someone I'm supposedly close to. I wouldn't even do it for kicks with a guy friend, unless we're both working out at a gym.

I didn't have a "partner" but if I had a girlfriend or wife, I would not have a real boxing match with her. Maybe a playful one, just fooling around. She could punch me as hard as she wants, but I'm not going to hit her hard.
