I got a new boss a couple of weeks ago, and she's literally everything I despise in a woman lol. She thinks that it's empowering to be rude to everyone around her. She talks terribly about her husband. She talks terribly about men in general... tagged along with other people in the office. She's a huge democrat and clear feminist on top of this.

Today I had a doctors appointment and I was walking out the door early, and she practically slammed open the door and asked where I'm going in a ridiculously rude tone in front of everyone. I've been biting my tongue a lot, and I told her pretty firmly 'no' today. I told her you're not going to speak to me this way anymore. It's rude, distasteful, disrespectful, unpleasant to be around, and I refuse to deal with it. You will treat me with respect and I will do the same, and I'm not going to accept anything less. Everyone in the office is just looking at me like =O.

She attempted to humiliate me furthermore by saying I'm sensitive in so many words and joke it off. I tried my best to dismantle it by telling her she's using a bullying tactic to regain control of the situation, and it's not working. Told her the issue has nothing to do with me being overtly sensitive, and everything to do with you. I told her she's a poor leader if she actually thinks she can bully employees into working like this and I'll go straight to HR. She tried to make an example out of me and told me I'm not coming in tomorrow and I can't speak to her this way. I have to talk to corporate tomorrow instead of going in.

I know literally everyone in the office agrees with me, and I'm thinking about getting a poll and some signatures going stating that this woman is absolutely unbearable to work with. Everyone witnessed this whole little ordeal. I've attempted to speak to her about her behavior prior to this in private as well. If I lost my job over this, I'm not even going to be mad. I refuse to succumb to that kind of work toxic work environment.

Things like cafes, restaurants, cinemas and phone companies are considered independent businesses. But smaller things like personal trainers, personal shoppers, massage specialists and these ones offering companionship for lonely disabled privately are also seen as independent businesses - although they're not working for a big company and are self-employed as the only person working in their own businesses. It's a misconception all independent business owners are rich and some doesn't earn more than the average hired employer. They're also paying taxes like everyone else's. In addition they're not considered "real workers", but "money making machines" in a way. People starts their own businesses because of unemployment or wanting to contribute to the world differently.

Yet there's a difference between which welfare people gets. Someone employed by a business owner or by the state gets much more free money in pension and sick leave than business owners. In addition they gets parental leave and unemployment benefits, while owners doesn't get it. That means an employee who gets fired for bad behavior may get a lot of free money from the state funded by tax payers until he finds a job, while a business owner can't and have to go without any income until he gets hired by someone else if he gets bankrupt. So employers gets basically all welfare the country has, while owners almost only gets basic hospital care and education covered.

I think although the welfare state, tax-, public-system and social democracy are good thing - it's not necessarily to treat business owners too different from average Joe if they doesn't have a bigger income. The reason is because of businesses are needed for the society to develop. #Socialism #Norway
