So I get the concept (kind of) -"Men are from Mars", they need to feel freedom and their higher purpose at all times and they are not used to emotional floods... Plus there is a research which indicates some sort of unpleasant hormonal reaction in men when bonding, which gives you guys anxiety...

But in us women it's TOTALLY opposite. It's the most pleasant drug you can imagine... We get the rush of dopamine, oxytocin rises and it's literally like ecstasy all day long - we freaking crave that stuff!! :-) ... Thus it's so hard for us to understand how can you basically leave us short of this emotional orgasm by pulling away in the middle of a romantic courtship!

If only you knew what this Houdini disappearance act does to our bodies and EGO... Analogy would be for a girl to get up and leave in the middle of sex and expect you to act like nothing happened.

The smart ones learn to leave you alone and let you "snap back"... But in all honesty it just seems like madness to us!!! We learn to adapt to it, but WE HATE IT!!!

Please help us understand.. What exactly is going on in your heads and bodies when after a really sweet time together, there is an emotional peak AND... poof.. WHAT?

The only way I could kind of imagine relating is with friendship. I can't be emotionally involved with a friend 24/7. Even though I love my close ones with all my heart, I can stop talking to them for a week without giving it much thought... And if I came back and my friend was angry for leaving I would probably feel suffocated and would indeed consider them clingy...

I don't know if it's the same for men's attitude towards women, but if this analogy is correct it implicates a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT EMOTIONAL CAPACITY and view of a partner!!!
