So my brother's been into one of my friends (21) pretty much as soon as puberty started. He has let this crush dictate a lot of his choices. She likes men who play football, so he began playing football. She likes men who have six packs so he spent hours every day at the gym, lost a bunch of weight and got a six pack. It's even completely changed the direction he's taking his life, he learnt that women want men with money so he decided not to pursue being an actor anymore and learnt to programme.

What he doesn't know is that we've already joked about her and him and she guaranteed she'd never date him because he's too short (5'11, she prefers 6'2 and above).

My dilemma is whether not I should tell him that it's never going to happen. So far all of the changes he's made for her are great changes, he's already making more money than my dad because one of his apps blew up, he used to be a little pudgy so it's been better for his health and the chances of him actually being an actor were non-existant anyway so all in all he has a much brighter future ahead of him. I feel like if I tell him now, he won't have the same motivation he has now. Do I tell him?

Honestly, I've seen this way too much. Mostly on here.

I'm sure girls on here have done it but I have only seen it from guys thus far.
there's comments from guys saying that you're shallow if you need both physical and mental attraction, and those stupid false dilemma questions: smart but ugly nice guy vs attractive but stupid jerk?

I've even had a guy on here bitch about how girls will only give it up to hot guys (thus depriving him of pussy) and he asked me, "think of all the guys you've banged. All hot right? Point proven."

Well, he's right. Almost all humans in general consent to sex only with those they find physically attractive. But is that really WRONG?
Is it wrong to only date those you find attractive as well?

If attraction is the only thing that matters to you, yes, you're shallow.
But to have to have attraction in order to let romance blossom, that's 100% normal, biological, healthy, logical, etc etc.

Do you think its okay to shame people who say they won't date a person they find unattractive? Do you think people should date those they find unattractive even if they don't want to, just for the sake of fairness? (Which is what a lot of these users are whining about...)
