I could not understand why I'm being told I'm not being "cultural" enough as a kid. Sit straight, legs down. Etc.

Truth be told, when you're yelled at for not sitting right in a way that feels life threatening, it only makes your body involuntarily curl up and put your feet up again. That's just fear response.

Well that's my oldest memory of eating food, a daily occurrence.

But then you do learn to sit straight but you chew really really really fast. And you have old people tell you SLOW DOWN, MY DOCTOR TOLD ME TO CHEW SLOWLY, IT IS HEALTHIER.

I assume that means, when they were younger they lived through the same shit.

And then i would hear on podcasts how chewing slowly makes us digest food better. So? Self torment. Just move like a robot. Sudden movements and pauses. Of course i am exaggerating. And i have to, because i am fully certain that more people in the world do a degree of this than not.

And that is the difference between eating and devouring: baseline stress levels. You think you're fine. You truly do. But your body does not.

And, by the way, i really really hope someone will listen to this piece of advice: Never say "I'm fine" if you have even a smallest, quantum sized doubt that you are.

If you do, we cannot be friends. But you are allowed to say "i just don't know, i do not feel at ease."

Not because i haven't figured it out already. But because it is a lie and is harmful to both parties.

But back to the main topic. I LOATHE devouring food greedily. It disgusts me. As soon as i take a bite too huge, i lose appetite, i remember my dad and his friends devouring foodstuff like pigs. Feeling a sense of disgust is good, feel as much of it as you can to train your body not to repeat it. But it isn't not enough, you also need honesty.

For many years i struggled to be different. Now, i am relaxed and perfectly doing the "cultural" thing they all tried to mimic and failed. Just relax and slowly, quietly eat your biologically blessed food.

I 100% experienced it in the last couple days. Someone terrorized me growing up so badly and then terrorized even more if i tried to get help, lured in to make me ask for help only to deny it, that his words seemed to linger even in those people actually offering help.

Your US Gov't lied to the people. 20 US bases were hit by Iran missiles and drones. 90% success rate. The mighty US military only stopped 10% of Iran's missiles and drones. This infuriated Trump and he wanted to use Nukes on Iran and the Generals said no. Then Trump wanted to invade with troops and Generals told him we don't have enough. And yes Trump got on his knees and begged Iran for cease fire. Trump agreed to all their terms but now he has buyers remorse and now the war is starting back up. We did Iran a favor killing the old leaders and the Younger leaders are like North Korea leader Jung. They will now make or buy Nuclear Weapons.

Let’s say the girl breaksup not because of anything so bad. But then the guy levels up in silence. He becomes successful and really made it, also looks good and in shape

I was in an intense relationship that lasted 4 months. Ending up meeting parents. I am crazy about this girl. She broke up with me, we broke up amicably. Then I rang her to try again and convince her that we should be together and she was very dismissive and low key insulting me saying I didn’t make her feel special, didn’t gift her (when I did), I kept saying sorry and that I can do more despite really doing enough. Then I told her not to contact me and removed her off of Instagram.

Anyway. Broke up. It’s been almost 2 months and I reached out just saying hi how are things. No like emotional essays or anything like that. I never begged her.

Is there anything wrong with that? She might not reply. I guess I wanted to see if there was any hope. If she doesn’t reply well at least there’s additional closure but I guess I will feel sad like I left with my pride.
But then again, is pride all that? Does it matter, losing some pride for a girl you like and then disappearing?
