I wake up at 5am and go to work and get back from work at 7pm Monday through Friday. On the weekend my dad gets mad at me if i sleep in past 8am. Is this considered too much to ask?

Assuming they could afford to quit their job because they have someone who could support them

I mean, one would be bad enough, but to combine the two. How would one make sense of the external world? She was certainly an admirable woman.

I used to be a lifeguard as a teenager. Now at 30, I am unemployed and collect disability benefits. I used to be an EMT and a software engineer, but the tech job market has been destroyed and I cannot return to healthcare/public safety due to some trouble I got into about 10 years ago.

I am receiving $1,800 a month with SSDI, but I am allowed to make a certain amount of additional income a month, as long as I don't exceed a certain threshold (I think around $1,200 a month).

Would pool lifeguarding be age-appropriate for a 30 year old? Some places around here are offering free courses with certification.

I'm currently in my late 20s but there is a reason why I asked this question. I'm an aspiring animator in a third world country. Here there is not much of an industry for animation and hence the best option for me is to move to a developed country for better career and livelihood.

As it's difficult to get a direct job offer from where I am, one option for me is to pursue a degree in animation from the country of my choice. But the problem is most animation schools like Sheridan in Canada and The Animation workshop in Denmark are known for their 4 years bachelors program. Gobelins Paris is one of the few places where there is a reputed 2 years master degree in animation.

As I plan to work in my home country for a few years before I study abroad, I'll be in my early to mid 30s when I do plan to move overseas for studying. Hence will this be too late age wise to do a 4 years degree?

Thoughts? Anyone on a similer boat as me?

Some people might interpret this as being “lazy”, but that’s not exactly it. I’m FAR from lazy. I’m just tired of putting up with the same BS that is involved with being employed by someone. I think I’m at a point where I just don’t want to work for someone else. I want to go into business for myself. Own boss, own rules. I think I want to own a smoke shop
