I have been pondering the nature of art and esthetics for a while now.
I think the most interesting questions are about what things are and are not art.
Questions like are video games art? is interior design an art? is cooking and food preparation an art? And is fashion an art?

On one hand wearing clothing is a form of self expression but on the other hand clothing is something you need to stay warm and protect yourself for the elementals.

The clothing you wear tell other people a little about you without you needing to say something. It tells people what you are like as a person and what collective you identify with.
If you wear a shirt a sports team that means you are a fan of of that sport team.
If you wear a Harry Potter tee shirt or cosplay play as a character then that means you are a fan of that piece of media.
If you wear a school uniform or just a shirt with the name of the school that means you are a student form that school.
If you wear a hat with a political slogan on it then that means you are a member of that political faction.
If you are wearing a suit and tie (or a professional dress if you are female) you are saying you have money and have places to be.

Do you think fashion would be considered as an applied art?

So I'm a 20 year old guy, and I've seen a lot of videos and infographics that talk about how you should choose your hairstyle and facial hair by your face shape. Using the technique, I'm very confused. I feel like i have a triangle and rectangle face at the same time, which honestly kinda makes choosing this stuff hard. I do like my hairstyle, though, as it is a mix of a quiff and a combover, which I feel suits my face very well. However, when it comes to my facial hair, I'm really confused. Mostly up until January of this year, I had been rocking minimal stubble, and while a lot of infographics say triangle faces should have minimal stubble at most, I felt that my face looked really, really large and I never really liked it. However, after growing it out to about 8-9mm, I really started to love it. My parents don't think so though, as they're always saying i need to cut it off. However, I have never liked being clean shaven, and I don't feel like myself without at least a heavy stubble (5mm) at minimum. I really like the 8mm I have on right now, as I feel it gives me sort of a more mature, edgy look. I've heard that girls my age won't even really give me a chance if I have a beard, but I don't want to have to shave just to possibly get girls.

I'm just curious as to what your opinion is, and I'd love to hear from both guys and girls. Tell me how old you are, and why you chose the option you did.

I have gone bald and plan to shave my hair. I am pretty pale and i have dark hair. Will it look better for my age if i go full boiled egg or a 3-4mm trim?

This is what I've noticed. I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder but when we see a person whose appearance is dazzling, very few would disagree. This is why models exist, and this is why there's a certain criteria you should when entering beauty contests.

In fact, I have never seen a male beauty contest. Have you?

All I'm saying is that usually, when there's a very physically attractive person in the room, it's usually a woman.
