I have been a glasses wearer since I was about 15. I am also kind of nerdy so I did not care. Never cared about peer pressure or anything like that.

Then contacts came along...it was a kind of big deal, but I did not think much of it... Some kids ran at the chance to take off their glasses, but I did not.

Now it is a little over 10 years later, and contacts seem to be the biggest deal! Such a small percentage of people seem to be wearing glasses.

So what I am wondering, is it seriously about time to stop wearing glasses and move up to contact lenses?

I have VERY light brown eyes, and almost every time I take off my glasses girls tell me how pretty my eyes are.

I have thin frames, and also very stylish expensive designer frames. 3 different pairs.

So is "glasses fashion" pretty much dead now, or dying?

Do you have a preference for the opposite gender?

I went to Golden Corral tonight for a family dinner, and I went to go make my baked potato. Can't have a steak w/o a baked potato, right? :)

I put some cheddar and some bleu cheese (sprinkles of both), and I noticed they didn't have actual butter.

There was sour cream (imma presume it's the regular full-fat kind)...and there was margarine.

Now I know that some people will think "i wouldn't put neither one; too many calories in neither one"...and that's probably true for you.

I'm going back and forth over whether or not to run track in the spring. I ran cross country in high school and loved it. I ran my first semester in college and didn't like it too much for various reasons. Either way, I still run every day on my own.

Part of the reason why I loved it in high school was because it was such a large team (100 people). If you didn't get along with some people, you hung out with others and you were always seeing teammates around school. It was the camaraderie factor. But in college, there's only 15 or so people, and you have to get along with everyone (which I don't) and go on long trips with them.

In addition, I don't get along well with one of my coaches. In high school, my coaches were reasonable and had the attitude of "just do your best." And it worked. We were consistently top 5 in the state. But in college, one of my coaches is really hardcore. He says things like "your best isn't good enough" and "I want 150%" and he's somewhat of a jerk. It makes the whole thing feel stressful. It's not that I don't take it seriously, I do take track and xc seriously. I just primarily do it for the social reason. I kinda need something to do in college because I'm having a hard time making friends, yet I'm torn as to whether or not to run track. Plus, my college doesn't have many activities and clubs since it's a community college. What do you think?

Just curious about how people on GaG like their beef.

One of my personal preferences with food is "beef over chicken", and since I was marinating stew beef for dinner tomorrow lol...this ? popped into my head.
