It's weird to me as a grown man that another adult would volunteer to cook for me or do my laundry

Why get drunk at a fckin concert? He was talking so fucking loud while I'm trying to enjoy myself with the greatest soundtrack artist of all time.

Same thing happened to with my mother at a Crosby Stills and Nash concert. So maybe Im combining rage...

• for stupid it may seem, I thought I was not so interested in her, but after her cancelation at the last minute (with the excuse of not feeling good) I can't stop thinking of her.

I was having this discussion with my friends and we agreed that nowadays we just have to have it all.

The guys that get the girls are tall, good looking, in amazing shape, have a good social media following and status, have money and a career. It’s like the top 3% of men. If you’re missing things you have to settle for way less, and little interest.

Also this is just to score a pretty broke girl.

I’m bald and I usually attract women with long hair. Curious to see what the ladies really like.

Ben Franklin once wrote "those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

But he was referring to the gov of the colony of Pennsylvania accepting money from the British Penns to not raise taxes on the Penny family colonial holdings in order to raise money to defend its borders during the French & Indian (Seven Years) War.

But can you really say you're free if you're in danger from crime, for example? If kids have to go to school in de facto prisons with armed guards, bullet proof glass, etc, churches need armed guards, some people saying they only feel safe if they're armed in public, etc are we really free?

Isn't freedom from such fear we need to be armed everywhere and turning schools into fortresses and churches protected by guns true freedom?

Was talking with @WindAtMyBack and an interesting question came up. What makes a person, is it the actions they take or the positions they believe internally? Frequently we're conflicted and may act in ways that are against our core beliefs for some reason or other. But what makes man?

I don't think there is. Both fields revolve around questions who answers we can never really really be sure of, despite what some people think. Here are some examples:

Is there one god? No god? Lots of gods? (Religious question)

Do we have free will or are our actions determined by outside forces? (philosophical question)

What happens when we die? (religious question)

What is the nature of reality? (philosophical question)

Are all people created equal, or are some people naturally superior to others? (philosophical question)

Should we all submit to Allah? (Religious question)

I'm not her chef, but sometimes she works for me. Very determined, self confident, attractive woman. She accepted the invitations for lunch break with spontaneity and we had very nice lunches. I asked her out and she agreed, but that day she told me she canceled because she told she was sick. Was it a mistake to ask her out so quickly?

Why is it that sometimes when you're trying to get to know someone, or you just befriended someone new, but a few days in, something seems off about them and it feels like they aren't really being genuine with you?

Or this can be with a family member too whom you've known all your life.

Like, most of the time, you feel like you're the only person making the effort while they never approach you themselves unless they need something from you?

Has this ever happened to you? If so, how do you deal with people like this?
