Also in many other ancient societies where it was common for women to walk around naked like the Etruscan and Egypt also had equal or similar rights for men and women while some of the most patriarchal societies like those of the ancient Levant and Mesopotamia strongly emphasized modesty for women so I will say that more often concepts like modesty oppress women.
