Like for example if a woman likes a man and acts on her feelings by pursuing him, and he kind of backs off in a shy way, knowing at that time, he had fear of being in a relationship out of maybe not wanting drama in his life, if the relationship didn't work out... how often do you see a woman would still continue to win him over just to prove to him that she can be a suitable mate to him? She would of already gotten over him, knowing if she would continue to hope that he opens up to her, that would be beneath her cause she wants to feel like a grand prize. (Which I disagree)... But if I'm wrong about there are some women who do win a second chance at wanting her male crush, then give me a story.

Guys on the other hand if he pursues a woman but she wasn't interested in him at first cause she thought all he wants to do is play games, but still he didn't let that stop him from winning her trust, then all of a sudden she changes her mind about him and from then on they became a couple and get married.

After what I just said, does this means men need women more than women need men? Like men have to have women just to feel happy in complete in society, but women on the other hand don't need men, women just feel like having a man in her life is just a bonus.

Me as a guy I feel like having a woman in my life is a only a bonus, as long as I have friends and family that care about me and a great job to support myself, then there's no way I should feel like I'm miserable... regardless of how many people will tell me "dude you need to get laid" I won't live my life base on their opinion. If a woman is single and enjoying life, you never hear people tell her "girl you need to get laid", and to me that's a double standard.

Over the years, a bunch of girls in middle and high school told me they liked me, and I didn't feel the same, and now only regret one.

Question: I've liked a girl since I was 16 and she was 15. We go to different colleges. They are 20 minutes apart. I still like her. Her social media annoys the hell out of me when she's at school. When she comes home for breaks, I crush so hard on her. She doesn't know I like her I'm certain. I told her I use to like her when she was feeling ugly, which was true, but it's more like, I've always liked you sort of thing. Since she got to college 3 years ago, one of her main goals has been to find a boyfriend. When she comes home, that is consistently a topic. And she always trying to get with a guy, but now in her junior year, is still single. I told myself I would confess my liking for her this last summer if I still crushed on her, when she came home for the summer, we were all with mutual friends, and she tells us about this really nice guy that's sort of interested in her, then stopped talking to her, and now is sort of interested in again. So I decided not to tell her. Partly because I'm really nervous, partly because I didn't want to ruin her thing, partly because my major is too time consuming and when would I have time to be with her especially going to different schools, or a job to make money to do things with her? Partly because we have a ton of mutual friends, we are part of a close knit group of 20 people and I don't want to break up and make things awkward in the group, or be denied by her and make things awkward. So I have moved my confession to this next summer. Since I met her I liked her but it just never seems right.

Question is, should I let this friendship be? And if I decide not to pursue this, how should I meet girls being shy as I am? I'm ready to be with someone an d even have considered online dating, even though I don't like the idea. I think that's my last resort. I'm afraid I wo

So this might be a bit of a novel- I'm 24, a guy, and I'm an engineering technician. I have high astigmatism and really bad farsightedness, and cannot pass the peripheral vision portion of the driving exam to save my life. I'm 5'7" and in shape but thin (I bike to work from my condo any day it isn't storming out and play in my company's soccer league, do light workouts and go hiking all the time). On top of other things, being unable to drive (and not being able to do anything about it) is super frustrating. It's usually a total dealbreaker for most women I talk to. my shortness is sometimes a problem too. Having a rough family life and constantly working full-time while commuting via bus or train to full-time engineering school just to pay my tuition and bills left me pretty much no time for relationships the past 5 years. I'm out now, at a job I like, in a great area and have a nice place and a short bike commute to work. I should add that in a virgin- a couple girls I wasn't attracted to have wanted to sleep with me but I know that I wouldn't be happy dating them (mostly personality traits or hygiene or weight issues), so I've declined. So no experience in the bedroom department either. Keeping in-shape and having a goal, and taking care of my appearance and health are important to me, so I'm not going to settle for less in a woman. I'm not complaining about my situation, I'm actually super lucky to be where I am in my career and personal life, and to still be alive in general. I just want a couple honest opinions here so I can make a choice. Should I stop pursuing a relationship casually and save myself grief and wasted time, money and effort? Or should I hold out for "her?"
