I have been talking to this guy on and off for a few years and at the time I was just trying to figure myself out, i wanted a relationship but i was hesitant to meet people. A year ago I mentioned meeting up as friends and he was down.. he stood me up thinking he was there but wasn't. I told him what i felt about that. (long story) So I lead some people on which i've acknowledged and apologised for. We recently started talking and he told me he felt like i didn't care about him and put him on the back burner.

When I voice clipped him he told me all his feelings kind of came back that he was apparently suppressing his feelings about me.. We tried video calling but i couldn't find free wifi. He said it was best if he we didn't video call.. he said he's afraid of getting his heart broken again. Whenever we talked i felt like he was still mad at me or being sarcastic.. for example when i mentioned about meeting up he was like "oh yea we go way back" "I liked talking to you since the beginning" . He has told me he is sensitive and sometimes its hard to toughen up when people would tell him too. there's a few other things but that is the just of it

We had been dating for a year, but things were not official until few months ago. He only started to meet my friends/family when we became an item. Now that things are official, I thought he would be open-minded about meeting his circle. Sadly, it seems like
he’s not very into inviting me to meet his circle of people. But all his friends and family knows about me, and that we are in a relationship.

I met his family during Christmas holiday, but it was kind of forced. He initially did not plan to include me. I was kind of not happy about that because he already met my family during the holiday. It’s also lockdown over here, and it has been depressing. He also had met both my best friends. He mentioned his parents got me a gift too. I gave him a chance to invite me by asking him if I’m coming... since “we” bought the gifts together. I also paid half and my name was on the card.
The way he responded was basically saying if I want to go, then go. It wasn’t him really “wanted” to include me at first. Things will get really upsetting and awkward if he still does not invite me. In the end, he felt I was being awkward , and he encouraged me to go. I met his family, and it was really great!

He was having a zoom meeting with his friends. He was the one who initiated for me to come quickly say Hi to see meet them online. After a chat for few minutes, they mention to quickly meet up on the weekend for a birthday. I assumed that I was invited because his friends were saying “you guys”. Yesterday, he mentioned that he was texting his friends what “HE” will be doing tomorrow for the birthday with his friends. It doesn’t sound like he was including me.

On top of everything, he is currently staying at my place. He had his parents to come pick him up at my place, and having me stay at home doing nothing. His parents probably would of find it weird and ask about the girlfriend. I am assuming his friends are picking him up from my place tomorrow. How do I talk to him about this?

This is a long story but;
My best friend is a serial dater, which I'm not mad about. As long as he's being safe I support him.
That said after 1 week of dating someone new they always want to meet me because as my friend says "I talk about you a lot so they want to get to know you." To which I say, thats nice but it's been a week, shouldn't they get to know YOU first?
Regardless I try to be a good friend and meet them anyway because I know he wants my opinion.
The real problem comes in when my friend inevitably gets bored or finds some fault with this man no longer than 2-3 months into dating him.
At that point since we did the whole try to get along because your dating my friend thing, almost every time he breaks up with someone, I get harassed by the hearts he's breaking.
I no longer accept friend requests on any platform from the guys he's dating but despite that they still try to message me asking about my friends feelings.
I will readily admit only about 50% of the time do I believe my friend has a legit reason for ending the relationship, so it does make him an asshole and I get them wanting answers more than "it's just not working out"
My question is am I a bad friend for asking that he dates them at least a month before involving me? Is there a better time frame? Or is this a hopeless cause regardless of timing because my friend is great in so many ways but dating isn't one of them?
