I love both, but I like the 500 more because the lever stays up when you load which keeps me from getting my finger caught like the 870 does a lot and it's very sharp, so I've cut my finger many times while loading an 870. I like the fact that it's easier to get extensions on the 870 and you can use mini shells in it (can't with the 500 because they fall through the lever, but don't quote me on it), and a smoother pump action. Although I'd rather just buy the shotgun fitted with a magazine tube that has the capacity I want, as I did when I bought a Maverick 88, which is a budget version of the 500. Which do you like more?

Some of you I have spoken to on GAG know the story of my huge crush on my student dentist. I am her patient.

I have chosen to wait to ask her out until today. My plan was to wait until all more major procedures were done. Here is what happened with the girl today (Amanda).

She approaches me in the lobby with a big smile on her face. She says its good to see me. Then we walk down the hall & I ask where she is doing a procedure. She doesn't know rights or lefts so she reaches her index finger and lightly touches my right cheek while we were walking down the hallway.

Then at the start of the appointment she excitedly tells me she passed her 2nd final. I give her a high five we clutch it for her a moment. She is smiling widely. Then she takes my blood pressure reading and its 133/94. She says, "It's a bit high.. but that is for obvious reasons..." (because she knows I have a crush on her). Then she says that she should put on tunes based on her mood. She chooses "Classic Soul". Next thing you know some semi romantic music is playing and she is humming it while drilling my teeth. Then as she is putting in a filling she is commenting how my jaw is narrow. She says that with my narrow jaw line I could "be a model". So I jokingly say that I could put on my modeling job application, "Dentist approved". Finally, the appointment is done and we start to head out. As we walk out together I see the entire floor of student dentist girls just staring at me and smirking. Some even kind of eye me up and down. I have this strange feeling that all the girls in the room know I have a crush on Amanda. Perhaps they know we both like each other? Amanda and I say goodbye and she says that now all I have left is tooth cleanings every four months. She says that she will see me then... but for some strange reason her pale face is getting beat red. I just tell her "I will talk to you later". Then she calls after me to call her if any issue comes up. I told her "I will".
