Search Results: being unfaithful

So today I happened to get subjected to a "moral riddle" or rather a "personality test" of alleged sorts that I personally found to be illogical and aggravatingly stupid.
Let me give you the riddle so you can form your own opinion about it.

A couple in love named Patricia and Egon live close by to each other but are separated by a river, one having a home on each bank.
One night the bridge connecting the two sides gets washed away by a strong storm leaving the two with no way to cross.
The river is full of rapids that would surely lead to their death should they decide to cross it.

Full of grief Patricia decides to go ask a boatman named Thomas for help, but he is only willing to get her across if she spends the night with him.

Outraged she goes to ask her friend Robert to speak some sense into him but he refuses to help, claiming that it is her choice to make.

Later that night Patricia decides to give in to Thomas by spending the night with him, the next day Thomas helps her get across in his boat.

Patricia finally makes it to the house of her lover Egon and explains to him what she had to do to get herself there.
Egon becomes angered and tells Patricia to never come see him again for being unfaithful to him.

Crying, Patricia has no choice but to walk to the house of a man living further down the bank called Laszlo.
She tells him everything, but Laszlo comforts her saying that it matters not as he has always loved her and that she is free to stay with him.
Then he walks to the house of Egon, calls on him and punches him for leaving Patricia as soon as he answers the door.

End of story.

So with this in mind.
