I still remember a lot of incidents where I had a lot of older women tease me while growing up

i'm pretty sure I said this before but my mom was a female underwear/lingerie retailer when I was a kid. wherever she went to sell her merchandise I would go with her and help her carry it around. all her customers used to get naked right in front of me just to try on the merchandise and see how it fits and a lot of the times I looked they used to tease me.

one time was when we went to visit one of her friends house one afternoon in the summer. her friend had two daughters who were in high school at that time. that day they just got home from the beach moments after my mom and I arrived. we were in the living room and at that time my mom's tells one of her daughters to check the laundry and as she walked out the room still in her bathing suit on I couldn't help but to look and immediately my mom's friends puts me in the spot and marks in a cheerful way...

"oh how cute, he's checking her out!"

another time was at another friend of my mom's who was also one of her customers. as we were about to take off she tells my mom to come to her bedroom to ask my mom for her opinion on the merchandise she just bought for herself. they start talking and take longer than expected so I when to ask my mom for the keys to go start the car. the door to the bedroom was open and they were just talking so I thought it was safe to go in but as I go in and ask my mom for the keys I accidently catch her friend with lingerie on, doesn't bother covering up as she tries to adjust her top and goes to me...

"hey you naughty boy!"


lastly it was over at my brother's ex from that era. she live with her mom and her other sisters. I was in the living room watching tv as my brother's ex and her sisters were making dinner (cont)

I went on a date this week and a woman was telling me that she didn't like a previous date she was on because the man insisted on paying for her dinner, walking to her car, and opened the car door for her. She was a liberal feminist. She was saying, "Why would I need someone to walk me to my car? What is the point? I can do it on my own. That is so patriarchal! A man doing that is sexist!"

I went home that night and got a text message from my best friend who is a woman. She was telling me, "I am tickled pink when a guy wants to walk me to my car and be a total gentleman. i can take care of myself, but I love it when a guy goes to do those little things. It draws out my feminine side... I feel like I can relax because I'm looked out for... He puts his arm around you when he sees other guys checking out his girl, opens doors, carries things that are super heavy."

I am a man who is a feminist. I am TRULY trying to understand women and respect what they want. But how am I supposed to be a good man when women give two completely different visions of what a good man is?

Why is it that when you date a feminist she treats you with hostility for walking her to her car as if you are a misogynist pig and she represents what women think? We as men are just trying to please women yet we face vitriol for doing so!

Why is it that the modern feminist woman acts high and mighty as if she as a feminist owns the truth about what women want? Could it be that by treating women who have different views as "backward", they are therefore disrespecting their own gender in a hypocritical way?
