I have heard some theories about how some good looking guys who posses good qualities can be very intimidating to women so they avoid them sometimes or go for less attractive "safe" guy, So it made me wonder, is it really true? can a guy be too good looking/cool for most girls and they feel intimidated enough to not date him... cause its a thing and i would be lying if i say it doesn't happen in real life (at least in my experience cause it does happen) .

If guy who happens to be really good looking, have a great style, good body and smells nice and does things, talks to people and acts like he could be a great boyfriend material is that a turn off? or more accurately intimidating? (p. s: by presented i meant either by a mutual friend he just happens to enter the same room / building at the same time and just do his thing)

99.9% of women never actually admit this and when asked their answer is "he's a douche not worth my time" or "not my type " or something along the lines of being able to get any guy they want.

I really appreciate a sincere answer, because when i did some reasearch online plenty of guys and girls admitted that yes its a thing, women find really good looking guys with good qualities intimidating and some guys shared their experiences.

Iam not perfect in any way, iam my own person iam smart, funny, logical and dendepenable, 6'1 very loyal and very good looking (according to all the females i know) and i make an effort to stay a healthy weight and stay as fit as i can.

The first girls i dated were 7/10 with good qualities but it didn't work out, i improved physically a lot to the point i can easily walk into a room and spark instant interest in the hottest girl there (done more than once) I attract all kinds of girls but i find that iam most attracted to attractive girls, i dont wanna sound shallow but every girl that i considered dating in the past couple of years was 8/10+ and few were 7.5/10 ... its not one sided before you ask as these girls have shown strong interest in me as well (however either distance, wrong timing or they had a boyfriend ruined it ) .

So iam single and i find a lot of average to slightly above average girls attracted to me quite a lot, i've been asked by 2-3 girls to be their boyfriend but i jokingly declined (Not very attractive) iam nice and i dont like hurting girls, but i just can't see myself dating a girl who i dont find pretty the first time i meet her, if i dont look at her and say " she's beautiful i want her to be mine " i dont think i can date her...

Iam sorry if i sound shallow but it is what is it is, am i right or wrong?
