Like I will pick an attractive celebrity who looks like me like Yoko Ono or Priscilla Chan - and I will tell myself I'm beautiful cause they are both worth billions by marrying rich men

And I will choose a style icon with a nice figure like NIcky Hilton and I will tell myself "If I lose weight I can look like her one day."

And that helps me lose weight

Me and my mother can be quite close at times
But sometimes she can become someone I don't appreciate...

there's times where she makes me feel so upset and hurt

For example:
- When I dress up for my friend's birthday, I wear a dress.. and she's like "why are you wearing that? You're short. Dresses make you more shorter."
Or
"The dress doesn't suit you. You're not skinny. We are Asian, you should lose more weight"
Or
"You're not that skinny. Only skinny girls would look good with dresses"

- I'm single now so when I saw a really good looking guy, I told her "hey ma, look at that guy, he's handsome"
And she would be like "yeah but I don't think you're his type"

Like what?
Are mums supposed to be saying these things?
I know parents should be honest.. but really?
Am I right to be upset?

I used to be insanely depressed and bitter about being single. The problem is that I'm ugly, fat, and brown skinned. People told me to just lose weight but Im still ugly. In addition to that I have small breasts, I'm broke and I have nothing going for myself. I don't have the luxury of having a bunch of men to choose from like most girls do. I never post pictures and I rarely go out unless it is for volunteer work. I have a dream of being able to travel the world as a writer and sometimes it upsets me that I'm such a incel lol

I hate when people tell me to raise my standards because I don't require a man to have a job, he can be a dropout, and I kinda low key want to be the main breadwinner in a relationship because I have no options. I don't have access to the men I want. It's either date a convicted felon or dropout or be single and loveless for the rest of my life. I don't know what to do I have no other options

So we do "Body Attack" together so we see eachother like 1-2 times a week and we have not spoke until one day.
My friend wanted to workout with me but "Body Attack" was too early for her and she wanted to go to the class that was two hours later so I just waited for her.
Turns out he did two hours in a row (Body Attack + whatever that was later) so he saw me and approched. We joked about how one workout was not enough for us and he told me he liked the (guy) trainer from the 2nd class he did and I told him we will see eachother next time.
After that it was mostly just us waving at eachother but we did spoke the last time about the gym again (like really spoke, not just hello)
The problem is: I got really friendly with the women and we sort of sit together mostly before class so I assume he is shy about it but it won't be too hard for me to be alone (check out my reflection and such)
I am not that bad looking (I mean still could lose some weight but I am making a progress and he sees me every week so if everyone noticed that I am sure he has noticed as well) and he is like one of the few guys I find attractive.
He is super bulky and buff (I really dont like lean or thin guys) and he has a nice face as well.
So how do I go from a girl he randomly talks to at the gym to someone he would be intrested in seeing outside of the gym?
