A few months ago (in October I believe) my English teacher had everyone write stories, and mine had quite a few alternative endings. It was a class project, but we were paired up in teams of two to four depending on our ideas. I was close friends with a friend of his who always added us to the same chatrooms, so I ended up adding him so that he wasn't excluded. He liked the idea of alternative endings and wrote one with me. We both had a ton of fun (I know because he told me) so we planned to write one again. That didn't happen until a few months later (in February). That was when we discovered that our writing styles clashed. CLASHED A LOT. I come up with new ideas quite frequently so four incomplete stories later we're still arguing and it keeps getting dragged into school (which bugs me). I like to write in the fantasy genre and he keeps telling me that things aren't possible (when it's a fanstasy story) and he does this at school of all places. Yesterday my best friend who has been writing with us as a grammar proffreader told me that he complains to her about how I write and my writing style, so I confronted him on it and he said that I was the only option, so today I told him that I was just going to solo write and somehow I feel like I dumped him. I have no idea why since honestly the closest thing we were to a couple would be coauthors. I'm thinking that it might be because quite frequently when we argued he'd call it a "fight" and then we'd mention that we weren't a couple so it was weird to call it a fight. So I honestly don't know. Could that be it? Am I supposed to feel like this?
