Boyfriend has a crush on a celebrity. Is it weird to be jealous?

My boyfriend has a crush on Jenna Coleman from Doctor Who and in his bedroom, he's got posters of her on his wall. When I asked him about it, he just told me to relax and said "it's not like I fancy her in relationship terms". Maybe it's because I don't really have a crush on any celebrity atm but a part of me feels jealous even though he's with me and Jenna Coleman is just an unrealistic fantasy for him. Is it ok to be this jealous or am i just being unreasonable?

My guy and I have lists of celebrities who we would get a free pass with if the chance ever came. It is all done in fun and of course, we know I'm never sleeping with Bradley Cooper or any of mine, or he with his. I actually have done this with all my LTR guys. I find it a lighthearted and fun way to deal with this issue. There will ALWAYS be women men crush on, and guys we like as well. That's why they are stars.

I would only get vaguely uneasy if my guy is attracted to a girl he could actually have a shot with. The rest is just harmless.

I forgot to add, being in a relationship doesn't mean you never notice attractive people again. You're in "love," not blind :) The test is what happens if they are presented with an actual opportunity to act on it.

I wouldn't say you're being unreasonable, but it is a bit unhealthy to be jealous about him finding a celebrity attractive. I mean, they purposely make celebrities look the best they can so people WILL find them attractive.

Unreasonable would be telling him he can't watch DW anymore and has to take the posters down.

I don't think it's entirely weird, but like you said he doesn't want a relationship with her and it's only a looks thing. It's not like he could ever be with her if he wanted to be. I'd just ignore it and go on. It's no different than you thinking a male celebrity is hot.

No it's not weird. My girlfriend has like 10 celebrity crushes and I told her of 2 of mine and every time they are on a movie or show I can't watch it or that's the reason I watch the movie cause they are in it. It's funny though I don't think he will worry unless you go overboard obsessing about it.

You are not being unreasonable at all. I hate it when my s. o. drools over models and celebrities. For me its because I look nothing like them, and the way I think about it is, that if they find them attractive how could they find me, someone who looks so different attractive? The key is to realize that you're being irrational and that they're more attracted to you, dating you and love you... Not the actress... in fact they're more in love with the character than the actress herself.

I think it's normal, because it's happened to me and I know I feel like I have to compare myself with the person and it isn't fair because I'm not her. Crushes are normal, even if you're in a relationship, and in our society it's normal to vocalize celebrity crushes. If it is bothering you, be open to your boyfriend about it and he should understand.
