If you or your partner has a celebrity crush, is it normal for the other one to feel jealous of them?

No because I know she would choose me over anybody, even celebrities. She wouldn’t even think twice. My girl loves me and I trust her. Same the other way around: she knows better and I constantly make sure she knows no one compares to her.

HOWEVER, there are some cases where jealousy would be understandable. Like if it causes insecurity issues. For example, my ex was that way and it made her feel awful because I’m really into latinas and my crushes were Eva Longoria, Eva Mendes, and Jennifer Lopez, and my ex was white and blonde. So she felt like she didn’t measure up or something. My girlfriend now, well, she’s latina herself and very pretty and she doesn’t have trust issues. I’m not saying my ex should have been so insecure but I am saying I guess I can understand why she was. Make sense?
If my girlfriend now had celebrity crushes that were completely different from me I don’t think I would be insecure but if I had been hurt in the past or smth I probably would. I think that could hurt.

Yeah somewhat.. because both my husband and the guy I liked were into woman that didn't look anything like me. The guy I liked before had a crush on Ariana Grande and my husband had a crush on Kate Beckinsale which I don't look like either of those women in the slightest so it makes me feel like they are just settling for me. It’s one thing for a person to find a celebrity of the opposite sex attractive. It’s another thing for them to act like a crazy fan-girl/fan-boy. Like if it’s borderline obsession, that’s plain weird and I wouldn’t like that.


I believe that when a couple is together, they should be the most attracted to each other, over anyone else. They should be loyal to each other. Because of the bond they share.


I also don’t think it’s good to have a free pass to sleep with XYZ celebrity if they ever have the opportunity to. That’s one of the most unromantic things a person can do.
