Search Results: guy in my science class

I knew a guy about three years ago in college. We watched a movie on his laptop between classes once (his idea), and afterwards I sent him a text saying I enjoyed it and would like to do it again. His response was that he wasn't interested in me. Okay fine.

We were still friendly (-ish) because we had classes together and were lab partners. He told me about his hobbies and how much he likes science, and even about some social experiments he liked to conduct on people he knew. Things he would say or do to see how people would react. He was smart and seemed interesting. I was so desperate for a friend. It was a not a good time in my life and I was very lonely. He was very nice towards me, but also clearly trying to put some distance between us since my text. (Which was a little hard to do since we were lab partners.)

While all of this continued, we had the optics lab together that required us to alone together in a dark room. He did things like offer me a drink of his coffee straight from his travel mug, play love songs when we were alone in the dark, and other small things. This was after already having to tell me he didn't like me like that. Eventually, I asked him if his feelings for me had changed and he said no. (What gives? "I like love songs," he shrugged.) I was very embarrassed.

As fellow members of the male species, how do you view his actions?
