3 months ago I temporarily opened a dating site and met this girl named Sabrina. We immediately clicked, we were texting all the time. Everynight we’d video chat on google duo. She was sending me pics all the time. Was even needy and wanted my attention most of the time, and always sexting me raunchy pics. We never met but had a deep emotional connection. She lives in the same city as me. But we never met due to COVID. So we acted like a long distance couple. Now, she’s lost interest. Never wants to talk n barely texts back. Doesn’t even have interest in meeting me in person.

Problem is, she stays on my mind 24/7. I know I need to forget about her but I can’t. If I don’t get her off my mind I’ll go crazy. Even if I date her she’ll string me along and have no respect for me. I’ve hooked up with other women hoping it’ll take my mind off her. It’s not working. How do I forget about her completely?

What my generation likes to rightfully crap on boomers for:

The great generation that put in place and sacrificed hard for all the fantastic benefits boomers benefited from starting out in their careers - somewhere along the way, once boomers started getting wealthier, instead of sacrificing (and still living good) like their parents did for them, they reversed all of those great policies and regulations and fucked all the young people over financially so they could live like kings. Shame.

What my generation often forgets to mention about themselves when discussing with boomers:

Is about the fact that we have had the most privileged childhood upbringing of any generation in history, ever. With the invention on internet, netflix, giant flat screens in every room, food is cheaper than ever before. Most of us even on a shoe string budget can have access to all of the basic necessities that make life happy, joyful and amazing. Most boomers never had access to ANY of those privileges. Shame on Us.

My final thoughts:

As an Boomer in your community -- do the right thing, put yourself in place of a young person and vote in policies that support the growth of a middle class lifestyle for as many people in your community (including yourself) as possible, even if that means making some sacrifices of things you never should have had in the first place so that no one has to spend endless nights out in the cold our in their cars starving while you boomers are living a life of luxury just around the corner from lack of business regulation. That is seriously fucked up.

And as a young person in your community -- understand that you are still young, dumb, have a ton to learn about life from boomers, and actually do have it extremely well off relative to ALL of the generations before you thanks to all the tremendous hard work of the boomers for working in their respective fields and advancing society forward so much for our own benefit! To all the boomers, thank you.
