This is something that bothers me. I'm watching this show Lucifer (fun show btw-does a good job of making fun of itself) and I read a review by the New York Times claiming the show is sexist because one of the main female characters is a stereotype (because she was in an adult film) and female characters are shown having sex with men. That's what the review says anyways.
I get how someone could see it that way- could think she's a stereotype. But here's the thing- Lucifer is hardly a flattering portrayal of a man. He's good looking and has charm, but he's also a complete sociopath that wants to have sex with anything he sees, not to mention highly immature. In short, he's the stereotypical man.
Why is it OK and tolerated to have a stereotypical man in a show, but not a stereotypical woman. Dramas and comedies are so overdone anyways- the characters are always more extreme then real people are.
So many movies have a hot female lead who depends on the guy but also has emotional intelligence and smarts, and a really stupid beefcake who can fight but can't do much else and doesn't understand emotions. I don't hear guys complaining about being stereotyped.
There are equality issues in society. That can't be argued. But looking for sexism in TV shows and having these double standards doesn't progress women's rights. I'm all for women having equal rights, but this is just getting ridiculous.
I'm sure I'll be seen as the devil by some people just for writing this comment. That, and because my picture shows a smiling apple being cut with a knife.

I know many people have trouble getting to sleep, but I'm asking if anyone has had a severe problem where the only solution was through doctor intervention with sleeping medication or years of psychological treatment.

Also, a poll for you extreme insomniacs: has sex ever put your to sleep without your sleeping meds? Because it has never worked for me. My girlfriend sometimes feels offended like she didn't satisfy me, but the only possible way for me to sleep is with my pills.

The feminist myth and "belief" is that women are required to "keep men company". This couldn't be further from the truth!!

Men have ALWAYS been ill advised to keep the company of women, and staying with mothers for too long has been looked down upon & shamed. Women are to be kept in silence and subjugation.

Marriage is a patriarchal slave trade to acquire and sell a sex-object and a baby-making machine, but it has changed into this BULLSHIT love-thing due to feminism.

Off the top of my head, here are a few of womens' tricks -

1. Crying to guilt
2. Making angry so that she get's an opportunity to play the victim, and thus guilt the man
3. Cook food and use it as a weapon later
4. Have sex asap so that he reveals his emotions which can be used for future manipulation
5. Pretending they are sad/upset/weak
6. Threatening to leave
7. Cutting off sex
8. Make him think she's cheating or will cheat on him
9. Frequent criticisms, irrational tantrums, twisting things around, act bitchy
10. Act like she doesn't care when the man show emotions
11. Manipulating family members and getting them to "talk to you"

Feminism/Women's liberation by western society in the past 50-100 has led to disarray, oppression of men, irrationality and a steep rise in mental illness. Sex and marriage are on the steady decline. Relationships are hell. The population ages and boys in general are being destroyed from the very beginning by their mothers, feminist society, media and education system. Men are officially second-class citizens and are often demonized.

Reading some of these questions make me realize a lot of folks out there get in a relationship without having sex. To be completely honest, I have already had sex (usually), or at minimum fooled around (done other stuff) with that person before I ever commit to her.

I don't think sex is the most important thing in any relationship, but I don't underestimate sexual chemistry and how it solidifies the connection between two people. I don't think anyone should, unless the two people are saving themselves for marriage or something, leave sex as a secondary thing because it may cause friction later in the relationship (many other issues may arise from it). Don't you think?

So, do you usually get in a relationship knowing that person's "side", or do you wait until you are comitted to have sex.

Let say your GF/BF is friends with your best friend. You guys hang out all the time, and are like the three amigos. However, one day your GF/BF goes behind your back and sleeps with your best friend.





Your best friend after having sex confesses to you that your GF/BF cheated on you with them. Who is in the wrong her, and would you break up with your best friend?

Opinion: Many people argue your friend is entirely innocent as long as they confess abou it after the fact. As the relationship is between you/gf/bf and him/her sleeping with someone is breaking that contact of your relationship and not the person who they slept with. At the end of the day would you get pissed off at a random guy/girl who slept with your significant other or the person in the relationship who cheated on you.

I feel that girls that I talk to and there is no spark, they end up adding me as a friend on facebook, like actually adding me on their own by searching for me, with the ones I have a connection with, they don't add me on facebook at all, just wondering if this is all just in my head. I saw a poll yesterday about how many times people have been asked out by the opposite gender, which made me wonder how many times other people ask the opposite sex out. I know I myself am really shy and struggle with talking to women let alone asking them out, so its a 0 for me, but I would like to see where other people stand.
