Ok. Before y'all go ham steak on this question, let me first say my side. This is a question for my criminal justice class, and its a question that I am very passionate about, like I'm going to assume many of you will be as well. So, to begin, I say no. A woman shouldn't be seen as anything other than a criminal in court. In fact, I think she should be seen as worse, if she is willing to commit a crime pregnant or with kids. To me, it's undermining the role of men and fathers if they get treated harsher for not having the ability to conceive a child (i mean birth, I know men have sperm and make babies with that. Ok? Ok) Do I think if a woman is pregnant and is convicted of a crime that she needs to be dealt with a bit differently? Only until the baby arrives, cause the baby inside her didn't ask to be put in a woman who likes to cook meth or stab someone. I also mean that she should get the amount of time a man would get, but I believe abortion should be an option or have her be put in solitary until the baby arrives, and when the baby arrives, have it be taken in CPS, or a family member, then have her be put back with the other inmates. I don't view "motherhood" as a get out of punishment free card, I just think, its more of a burden, for courts and the child itself.
Ok... and... your thoughts?

SIDE NOTE! Please be respectful to other views, or try to be. We all know the courts and how they deal with things, to many it's unfair, to some its not. While id love to hear your opinions, just remember, not all mothers do crimes, not all men deserve to be put in jail and all the stuff. And most importantly NOT ALL WOMEN HATE MEN AND THINK WOMEN SHOULD RECEIVE SPECIAL TREATMENT, NOR DO WE FEEL THAT THE COURTS TREAT MEN THEY WAY THEY SHOULD, BECAUSE a lot OF THE TIME WE AGREE THAT MEN ARE TREATED UNFAIRLY WITHIN THE COURT SYSTEM!! I have been in a relationship for 4 years. I truly love my boyfriend. We have been together through difficult times. I was there when he was basically homeless/jobless and facing a massive decision to leave the city. We long distanced for one year before I moved to his city. I was recently hospitalised and diagnosed with an a chronic illness. He’s supported me through this always.

The problem is we seem to be facing one issue after another. We argue a lot over communication. It’s not all misery - when it’s good it’s good & we spend amazing times together such as travelling it’s just that when it’s bad it’s bad.
About a month back I posted about a difficult situation where I became pregnant and we ended up choosing abortion & he hardly said or did anything to support me claiming he was confused. He walked out slammed the door in my face when I tried to ask him to talk to me about what he was feeling and didn’t come with me to the appointment for the abortion but following advice & some thinking I decided to work through it with him.

However, yet again there’s another issue that I’m having to face with him. His reckless past has come forward and is now affecting me. We need to move apartments but can’t because he has court judgements against his name. I appreciate he was young when this happened and he can’t turn back time but what has irritated me is he has the money but hasn’t paid the debt. I confronted him & he said he can’t pay it because we need the money to move (but we can’t move as hardly anywhere will accept us easily because of his credit issue). To top it off 3 weeks ago he bought a motorbike which is money that could have been used to resolve his issue and save us a lot of hassle.
It has put such a strain on me. I have already been dealing with a lot and suffer with stress and this is only causing more problems as he always depends on me to sort and resolve things.

Are continuous issues a sign it’s time to leave?
