I'm a 20 year old guy who started losing hair at 17, it was a strange hybrid condition that basically aged my follicles prematurely and made me bald young, there is no treatment and for it and I opted to shave my head cue ball bald (like Bruce Willis or mr clean) rather than look like I'm 40. Anyway I'm a smaller guy and pretty pale but many people say I rock it and new people say they couldn't imagine me with hair. some friends say I look better this way. Anyway to me it was just hair, I've lost more important things in life but I am very concerned what young women my age will think.

And here's the deal; I won't consider you shallow if you couldn't find a bald guy attractive, the truth is looks very much do matter, they do for me too so I won't be a hypocrite and demonize people who want a guy to look good, I admit I have higher standards on looks but I only want one in the end, it's something serious to me, so please be straightforward if couldn't date a bald guy this age, no feel good answers.

So girls, while I realize hair will be the majority's preferance, is baldness a straight up no-go or dealbreaker? Or can a young bald guy still be considered very physically attractive without the hair to you? (And please don't think of model type bald guys, I'm talking you're normal to decent looking guy with no hair) So does no hair/bald generally=plain or unattractive to you? Could you date a bald guy this young or would you hold out for hair? Brutal honesty is the key term. (Keep in mind that I shave what's left of mine if that makes a difference)

Is it a turn off if a guy obsesses over his appearance? Like he always wears nice, stylish clothes, he always makes an effort to look good, and smell good, and always tries to stay clean. He trims his eyebrows and trims all the hair on his body short. He is constantly messing with his hair to make sure it looks good, and washes his hair with hair products and treatments. He even uses moisturizer to make sure his skin is smooth and shiny. So is this a turn off?

I'm a guy who has a condition that acts like a weak form of alopecia and is confined to the scalp, however there is no treatment and my only option is to shave it all the way bald, it's just skin like pitbull etc. Now I'm only 19 and worry what girls my age will think of it, I'm not some looks don't matter person, they do, I have higher standards myself but I only want one in the end I'm not some player, so if you couldn't see yourself with a bald guy this young be honest and don't say yes to make me feel better. Anyway I'm told I pull it off well even to the point where girls I know tell me I pull it off so well they couldn't imagine me with hair and that I was a stud without (unfortunately these girls were already taken) I know hair isn't everything but I've just read and heard so many girls saying bald is 'ew, eck,' etc and they often say it's a dealbreaker for attraction and dating. And I've read so many stories of young bald guys who say women all flocked away afterwards and any girl under 30 who is attractive will not date you etc it just really has hit my confidence. So young women is having no hair at a young age a dealbreaker? Can a bald young guy still be overall attractive? Please be honest and resist feel good answers.

I'm about a week away from being 20 and about a year or so ago I developed a condition known as TE, my hair growth cycle was messed up due to things going on at that time, usually it's something only seen in women after child birth and they tend to recover but in men sometimes our hormones attack the weakened hair, so basically my hair has very thin areas on top, sides, pretty much all over and I mean very thin, there is no treatment so I opted to shave my head cue ball bald, no hair whatsoever (think pitbull or Howie mandell) now people say I pull it off very well, in fact a friends girlfriend said I was a F****** stud without hair and the only person who she personally knows who can pull it off, (I was a bit surprised as I'm a skinnier guy, toned but smaller built, and my skin doesn't tan for crap, but my face and headshape are good for it) anyway my concern was that in so many places I've heard or read women (especially young) say baldness is the number 1 physical dealbreaker automatically. And before anyone calls girls shallow I can freely admit I need to be physically attracted in the initial moment to a girl before I could consider her personality, I believe it's natural, and I do have higher standards but I only want one girl in the end I'm not some player, if God came down and told me I'd only date and end up marrying one girl I'd be completely happy if I was attracted to her body and mind. So I want to know, girls late teens to twenties, could you date or feel attracted to a young bald (shaved to the skin bald) guy? Be honest it won't make or break me and like I said I have preferenaces too, I could never date a girl with excess weight, I work out semi regularly and keep in decent shape I'm not attracted to it, so if you find bald a dealbreaker just tell me I can accept it, and understand it.
