I think the whole "Men are objectively stronger than women" thing plays a part in it due to the nature of the claim and gender roles being an unevolved stigma. It's obviously a fact that men have bodies that are by evolution designed to be stronger than womens. That does not limit a woman's capability in anything other than strength, but due to an outdated mindset, that carries over into modern society by applying that concept across the board.

I'm sure you know that and it's probably why you see it with religious folks. In days past, men hunted, worked, and took care of the house because women were not as capable as doing those things as men given the era. Since most Christians, brains have not evolved all the way, they are still stuck in the past and apply gender roles to their life today. I mean it's expected when you think those people actually believe in talking snakes, a divine being that sacrificed himself to himself in order to save us from the sins he designed us to commit, and that they think the world is less than 6k years old.
