Spousal support is financial support that a person is ordered by a court to give to their spouse during separation or following divorce also known as alimony. IT IS NOT CHILD SUPPORT!!!! Do not confuse the two. It is specific money that is paid to the spouse to use for themselves to maintain the lifestyle they were accustomed to in marriage.

You don't typically hear men getting spousal support because they often tend to be higher wage earners in relationships but now that more and more women are becoming "the bread winners," the current number of men in the US getting spousal support, some 3%, could begin to rise.

So where do you stand on this issue. Do you think it's shameful for a man to ask his ex-wife for money? Do you think it's about time that fair is fair, if women can get support, so should men? Is spousal support just dumb?
