So I matched on tinder with a guy in my college course a few weeks ago. He's rather nerdy but he's atttactive so I'm sure he gets female attention. I'm cute too, but anyways, we matched before class started. We haven't spoken much on tinder, just that we shared the same class. He wasn't making a move, but kept me on tinder as a match. Over the weekend I cut my hair as short as my jawline, and dyed it jet black. It's like a short black bob with fringe bangs, but I style it with a big poof and kinda messy. It was a big change since I had lighter and longer hair. I look really awesome if I can say so. So we met for class today. Before class, for his tinder bio he had nothing, I checked I don't know why. Then, we had class, he saw me with my new hair, dressed really good... and right after class, I noticed he changed his tinder bio to "really edgy." Is this directed at me because he's trying to appeal to me? His photos are not edgy whatsoever and he is not someone I'd consider edgy at all. Im not sure if my style is considered "edgy" (I dress in all black with leather boots, and my new haircut is short and choppy and black, I wear winged liner and pretty heavy eye makeup normally). I don't know what's edgy. I just like black. Was his new bio aimed at me or am I taking it too much as a personal thing?

I'm so confused right now. I have so many people telling me this and that about this guy. My close friend who is friends with him says he's super shy and keeps trying to get me to go see him (I met him and we talked a bit but haven't seen him in a while) he's got this big presentation at work and I'm not sure it would be wise to go see it/him.

We have flirted, him physically flirting and all but he never actually said he liked me. I thought he was attracted to me and always a gentleman around me, even nervous and stuttering but... nothing.

He's always been nice, polite etc with me...

I found out from another friend whose husband knows him that he likes supermodel looks and worries about having a girl/wife who might get fat etc...

Which seems very much like a jerk to me. Insults my friends. I'm not supermodel myself. I am petite and small waistline but not tall and not busty.

But I caught him looking at me when we are in same room/building and he's never said that to me...

He also get depression sometimes. One of my friends whose married and older says maybe his shyness coupled with his age (over 33) makes him say that to keep people off his back...

So many different accounts including what I have seen and heard from him. I don't want to be mean for no reason but I'm not sure who to believe or if it's somewhere in the middle or what to do. If I go and he truly doesn't care that would make him think I'm a creepy stalker who docent know when to give up...
Any insight?
