I have posted a few questions about this woman before, and I am beginning to think that perhaps, despite what I want to believe, she may just be boosting her ego at my emotional expense. I would be grateful for any views.

I started spending a little time with her, usually only once a week, about a year ago. We found out that, despite having vaguely known each other for a long time, we got on really well. I soon fell for her in a big way and was as certain as I could be that she felt the same, even going so far as to research the signs that a woman is interested in you.

We got closer and eventually I told her how I felt, she denied 'trying to start anything' (splitters of hairs amongst us should note that at no point did she say she wasn't interested in/attracted to me) and said she thought we were just becoming good friends. This really hurt me.

I should say she is in a relationship (no moralizers please) but everyone knows that it isn't very happy, although she stays with him when everyone wishes she would leave him for her own good.

Anyway, for a few weeks I drew back from her and, although I had no choice about seeing her, we barely spoke beyond absolute necessities.Then I decided that things needed to be sorted out. We had been good friends before and I wanted to try and recapture that and keep a lid on other feelings. She agreed.

Over recent weeks things have been heading in the same direction as last year though. I have been seeing more and more signs that she is attracted to me, it has re-awoken my interest in her when I thought I had it under control and I am now really quite desperate about what to do. We have been hugging and touching a lot. I only see her for a fairly short time and there are always children around so we are never actually alone but the physical contact has gone well beyond what I would expect in a friendship. Mostly it is me, although she does hug me, otherwise she is just submissive and accepts my caresses and kisses (not on the lips, but forehead, cheek, shoulder). I received some advice on here recently to withdraw the touching to see how she responded. The last time I saw her things had got heavy and I only just managed to stop myself from kissing her lips so was determined yesterday to not touch if I could help it. She noticed. For some reason she needed something on a shelf behind me and instead of asking me to move, or standing at the side of me she reached past me, brushing her chest heavily on my arm (maybe clumsy, but its happened before). Then on three occasions she initiated contact, cozying up to me, getting very close.

I asked her why she let me touch her so much and she said that 'sometimes people just need someone to cling to'. I really love her and am concerned that she doesn't feel the same. All the body language signs suggest she is attracted but I fear that if I ask her again she will just deny it again, leaving me hurt and further confused. What do you think?
