Now my mom says she knows what's best for me. She cooks for me all the time, stirs my food, makes my food plate for me, chooses my clothes and shoes and always styles my hair how she wants it to be. my parents clean up my bathroom all the time and I am always at home on my computer. All I have to do is keep my room clean and I have no other responsibilities. During this time my school gave the whole us a extra hour at school and gave us opportunities to take several online classes so I did. Now I feel like I made a mistake due to how my mom responded.


My mom really wanted me to stay in school for the full 8 hours and get unnecessary credits. I have 19.50 credits right now and need 22.50 to graduate. And I only need to take 4 classes next year but my mom doesn't like this. She wants me in school longer and says I'm growing up too fast and how I need to slow down, and basically enjoy being in high school and living at home. I wanted to graduate high school early and get my high school diploma early but I don't know if my mom will even let me do so and is basically trying to keep me in high school longer than I need to be. I took 10 classes ( some were online classes) and managed to get mostly A's and B's in them but she's still upset about how small my schedule will be. And I'm pretty sure the schedule will be adjusted for extra classes. I know my mom means well, but I wanted to graduate early and I never knew what it's like to actually make a decision for myself since my parents always controlled everything. Meanwhile my best friend can go out with whenever she wants, cooks and has a drivers license.

I am 17 years old will be 18 in less than two months. I never had a drivers license, was never taught how to drive, cook, and I rarely get an allowance. My mom does my hair every morning and always chosen the clothes I wear. I never had a job, never had a boyfriend, they won't let me clean the bath tub alone and I never travel or go out with friends. ( unless they approve) I don't know how to swim, cook and most of the time they decide what time I eat breakfast, when I eat lunch and dinner. I never had a car and my parents were always the decision makers of my life. I can't really do anything without their approval first and even when I was 16 my mother decides what type of clothes I wear and what shoes I wear and how my hair is styled. I am rarely allowed to wear skirts or anything dressy. I can't even wear dresses anymore. I love dresses and the weather is perfect to wear one but my mom still says no. :/ I had to literally fight to wear my natural hair because they only like straight hair. Even my iPad is put on safety mode so I can't even go on most websites. They can also view my history whenever.
