I’m 18 and I’ve been doing kick boxing for 5 years. I never TRULY fighted someone who tried to beat me to death and I never faced a dangerous situation. But A week ago I was sitting home alone in my room when I heard someone in the living room, I immediately run to cheek and I found a guy who break into our house and he was holding a crowbar that he used to open our backdoor. He seemed to be surprised to see me, and I rushed immediately to take his crowbar off, we fighted and despite that I beated him, he was tall and well built so he managed to bring scares and wounds to my body, till the police arrived because a neighbor called them when he heard us. I had some fractures on my arms but it was nothing compared of what I administrated him and because of this my mom is forbidding me to follow kick boxing, she claim that it was stupid and that I should’ve hided in a room to call the police instead of fighting this guy since he could have been with someone else. I know that it’s stupid but my mom clearly want to remove me from my club, and in my country someone can’t take personal decisions until he is 21. And my mom think that learning fighting is more a burden to me than a benefit! Wtf? Why is she thinking like that?
