I’ll explain a bit, what I mean by safe space. I mean respectfully express your opinion on body positivity. Not to just protect my sensitive ass self, but to protect others that may be reading this. Also because calling someone a fat pig or telling someone to eat a sandwich is flat out rude, and not necessary!

My opinion?

I am a fat girl, luckily I’ve been lucky enough to never get called fat to my face, mostly because I’m so shy and reserved in school most people think the only thing that’ll happen is I’ll tell the school, and they’ll get in trouble for being a mean asshat. But, in fact they are only partially right! Just because I’m shy doesn’t mean I won’t protect my feelings if you say rude things to my face. But.. if you say it behind my back, or when you think I didn’t hear that, I just won’t give you the time of day. But.. that’s besides the point.. a idiot in my gym class last school year said I was 300lbs, just so you know I’ve never weighed over 256, I weighed 256 that day, it was June my sophomore year.. I was hurt, I didn’t cry over it.
this person was the person to act like he’s nice to the shy kids, but then spread rumours and be a asshole when he thinks they aren’t looking or hearing. Anyways... I need to get to my opinion already!
I love body positivity, to a extent.. I do not believe being overweight at all is healthy, HEALTHY! I don’t think overweight or obese people are ugly, they aren’t! We aren’t! But.. I hate how people assume that because beauty standards are changing it’s ok to weigh what I did in June this year.. unless your 6’4’, it’s not!
Also, if you wanna know, I weight about 227 now, I know some people that aren’t my size don’t see that as a big achievement.. I do.. although mine wasn’t due to working out, I just kinda stopped eating as much (I say that in moderation)

Anyways, I just wanna see some opinions! Like do you agree with me?

If you have time pls read and answer this too. As a teen I used to be EXTREMELY down on myself. No confidence or self esteem, name any physical attribute on my body at all and I will tell you what I thought was wrong with it. Everyone around me would scold me for criticizing myself so harshly. Now that I have FINALLY grown out of those insecurities and accept myself as I am, I feel confident, I like how I look, but I NEVER express it in any way, so the response from others has been very strange. In my new workplace of about 50ppl I hear comments from guys talking to eachother, things like ''oh she thinks she's so sexy...'', ''she thinks all the guys are inlove with her...'', ''she thinks she is hotter than other girls...'' nothing close to what I actually think lol, I feel like I just recently grew out of years of self hate and learned how to love myself, but I don't love myself THAT MUCH. And the thing is this is not the first time, last place I worked I heard similar comments. I've been trying hard to understand how am I sending this vibe? I dress very casually, not revealing, I hardly ever wear makeup, I don't talk about my own or other appearances at all, I am not stuck up, nice to everyone, the only thing I can think of is I am a bit shy and quiet so perhaps they think I'm stuck up. So what could it be? How could they possibly come to conclusions like this?

I really like this guy I work with. WE are pretty much the work versions of Whitney and Bobby with out the drugs. Every since we found out our feelings for each other ( through Mutual friends) Things have been tense. One of my co workers called us out on our bs and said I swear you guys can never have a normal conversation. We tease each other but we are always there for each other. When I’m mad at him he will chase me down tryna figure out why or ask my friend why I’m mad Or when he hurts hisself I’m usually the first one to care and is there. I’m the only one that makes him smile or that can keep his attention more then 5 mins. Well Valentine’s Day this year I decided I would give him a hint on how I feel about him. So I saw him and quickly thought on my feet I work at the Airport and there is a Godiva store right next to my store. I went in bought chocolate samples put them in a gold baggy inside that bag I wrote a note (Listen to Queen Najia Butterflies That song explains everything and music is the only way I can express myself) well I gave it to him didn’t make a big deal out of it. At the end of the night we were walking side by side and he Started singing Ride Slow by Russ. Everytime he was around me that’s what he kept singing. Mind you ride slow is a song about taking it slow with a girl you wanna be with because you have a lot going on but you don’t wanna lose the connection with that person you literally wanna ride slow. It’s been a few months (we met in January I believe) and still nothing but intense feelings. Its like my intuition is telling me he is scared he is unsure and he is still figuring me out. I wanna get to know him outside of work and eventually love him (honestly I never believed in love at first sight till I met him ) The probably is I’m a shy Virgo who can be very introverted and extroverted he is a Leo who is very Extroverted and Extremely BOLD. Which is why I’m confused on why he hasn’t said anything yet. Is it up to me?
