I found this question by this poor girl, sounded really depressed, not suicidal though. Went to try and comfort her, tell her she is NOT alone, and suggest she seek CBT and possible psychiatry, but I can't because some idiot mod removed it! WTF mods, is anything other than parroting your own personal beliefs and pretending life is sunshine and rainbows "too offensive"?

Believe it or not I used to be like that :( I am sorry about your mom and all the horrible things that befell you. And yes people can be very insensitive when you are like this, be it in RL or trying to silence you online. But there is hope. First please go and seek Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from a caring professional. Look into medications if necessary. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies, and remember, you are not alone, even though it often seems like you are :)

Was watching a film called the doctor that was made in 1991. In it a cocky, rich surgeon who saw medicine only from the physician side and had poor bedside manners, often being insensitive or empathetic to his patience's situation. He and his wife have all the trapping of success.
Returning home from a dinner party, Jack has a coughing fit. His wife Anne is shocked when he coughs up blood all over her and the car. In an examination, Jack has a sample of a growth removed from his throat. The biopsy comes back positive for cancer.
He befriends June Ellis, a fellow cancer patient who has an inoperable brain tumor. She gets him to promise to never lie or mislead a patient again. Jack begins to bark at the medical establishment. Jack and June take off to see a native Indian show but the pace is too much for her. His wife, meanwhile, struggles to understand Jack's relationship with June.

Jack cancer is eventually cured but June dies before that in the film. She leaves him a card post mortem thanking him for the time they spent together.

Summarize:
Your spouse gets cancer and now has to go to all these doctors who treat them impersonal. They feel like shit and withdrawn from you because cancer sucks and you can't understand what it is there going through and feeling emotionally and mentaly. They end up befriending a cancer patient who has terminal brain tumor and can relate and understand them better than you ccan. They starts spending more time with the cancer patient than with you and emotionally cheat on you with them. The cancer patient dies some time later leaving them a card.

I don't think I'm being that insensitive when I say this.. Seen a lot of questions on here about this. I personally think to cry yourself to sleep every night as a man is pathetic. If you can't control your emotions to that extent it reeks of weakness. Shows that you have no control over your life. I could never respect a guy if he told me that. It depends on the situation I suppose but if it's just normal life occurrences and not pertaining to some serious mental illness or tragic event I think you just need to buck up and grab your balls. I feel like a lot men today don't have pride in themselves anymore and how they carry themselves. What are you thoughts?

In my personal life, I’ve been a part of men’s groups, and dated women who attended female-only groups. Neither of us ever demanded to invade the others space, but instead supported each other in our individual gender-specific self-development. My girlfriends understood that allowing me to develop my masculinity in the company of other men would only make me a better man for them, and I understood that allowing women to develop their femininity in the company of other women would only make them better women for me.
I’ve seen men’s groups have a profound effect on the men who participate. Many men find it difficult to talk about their challenges in the presences of women who might judge them for the problems they face. Male-safe spaces allow men express themselves in a way mainstream integrated culture does not allow.
Likewise, many men have experienced deep personal transformation through the manosphere, and other online communities of men dedicated to self-improvement. Return of Kings and the manosphere in general is known for speaking truth in a very blunt, sometimes confrontational style, many women would find insensitive. As a man, I enjoy being challenged, and would prefer a harsh truth to a pretty lie.
The women and gays demanding entrance into straight male spaces are not interested in men’s needs or self-development. Because they feel disconnected from their femininity as women, or disconnected from their masculinity as gays, men’s attempts to connect to their own masculine power threatens them. Rather than develop themselves or their own space-spaces, they attack others personal growth, and unique culture.
The message women and gays have sent is essentially, “let us into your all male-spaces so we can change them to suit our needs or we’ll call you misogynists, homophobes, bigots, and the worst labels our culture has.” With that attitude, it’s no wonder men don’t welcome them in.
