My boyfriend will either not hear me or will not respond to something I say, even if I repeat myself several times. It will usually be something basic and not what I would consider a “nag.” For example, I just heard the front door creak like it was wide open and asked if he heard it twice. I got frustrated and asked if he heard what I asked loudly and he snapped back “I heard you!” This really frustrates me and I feel like I have a right to be, but whenever I bring it up, he acts like I’m unreasonable for being upset by it. Am I? Would you be upset by this? Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I have been dating my boyfriend for about 2 years now. Around the 10 month mark of the relationship, I discovered that he hid something somewhat important to me about another girl because he didn't think it was important even though we saw her everyday. Following that, there have had been other issues of dishonesty and not being a good boyfriend like backing out of a plan we made the night before even though he didn't mind the whole week we planned it.

So, as one person does after he broke the camel's back, I told him that I am most likely going to break up with him or at least really considering it because he indirectly got smart with me when I asked if our photo album came in the mail. We texted for HOURS over the phone trying to discuss it and the whole time I'm mad because I am already mentally drained from the relationship.

The real thing it comes down to is if he's either willing to change for the sake of this relationship like being able to adapt/actually be with someone, or is he just keeping me around/being selfish. Last time we spoke this intensely was earlier this month and he promised to be more honest/open, yet all he was doing was continually giving me compliments for no reason every minute of the day. When I said that was too much, he used it against me saying it made him feel bad and will have a "hard time" being "open" again. He still gives me random compliments now as well even though he has never done that prior to that conversation really.

He does know that he is selfish sometimes since he stated it himself that I deserve better, but yet still promises change. I'm not sure what to do, what do you think?

Long story short, my boyfriend has cheated in the past and we are working through it. (Been together 7 years, started dating in high school and now through college). I don’t have the passwords to any of his accounts, but his Twitter was still logged in on my phone (mine is usually logged in) and I got a notification about a suspicious login and when I clicked it automatically opened his. The details of the login aren’t relevant, but I noticed he had blocked some accounts where he hadn’t before. One of them being a girl he cheated on me with before we got back together 5 years ago. He would have had to have done this pretty recently.

My question is, why is he still searching up and blocking exes? I feel like I need to talk to him about this, as it really worries me considering how shady he has been acting lately. (Always has his phone on him, carries it to the bathroom, leaves the room a lot, isn’t present with me often anymore, weirdly hot and cold to an extreme - but I also read depressed men can show these signs too so I don’t know). Although the two could be unrelated, I’m unsure. Whenever I try to talk to him about most anything, he gets defensive and shuts down/doesn’t seem to listen. What should I do? Am I overreacting? What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance!
