It is my hope that following this progression will serve useful in learning how to navigate issues you might have yourself.
2/28/21: I miss my ex at this point so I agree to meet with her. I give her a feelings questionaire that she refuses to fill out. Then we talk and we talk through relationship issues of trust. Including issues of her texting an ex boyfriend. A huge mistake that BACKFIRES. It turns her off! We have a good talk in her bed. But...after I left I text her follow up questions that killed the mood. BIG MISTAKE to kill a positive vibe out of neediness to know things immediately! She tells me, "This conversation can be Part 1. We can talk more later."
3/4/21: I speak to my therapist and she says I overreacted to things. I realize the breakup was maybe a mistake and miscommunication. I meet my ex girlfriend at her house for Part 2 of our conversation. For the first time I open up with feelings of regret and sorry about the breakup. Before that I had been defiant and accusatory. she's shocked because she was fully expecting me to break things off forever. Instead she lets me sleep over. She says, "I dont want to have sex until I know I want to date you again exclusively. I am confused right now. I don't know if I want to date you again or not." The toothbrush that I had at her apartment is no longer out by the sink.
3/5/21: The next morning I wake up. She looks me straight in the eye and says "I am ready now." So we have sex. Then we cuddle. By the evening she is texting me and saying "I didn't intend to have sex. I think it was a mistake. I still am confused about us." My response is a bit of anger. I call her out on her shit and tell her that having sex with me was not an accident. After awhile of talking she gets to the point of saying, "How did we even get to this point of us not together?"
Lesson: Women are turned on by passion and a man standing up for himself rather than being an apologetic wimp.
