What kind of idea is it to talk to my close female friends and ask their advice on how to act/treat my ex girlfriend who I have to regularly see and they are acquaintances with and are getting to know?

I have known the two girls for 3 years now. When I was getting to know my ex. I introduced them sometimes my ex talks with them and other times she just hangs out alone. These three have talked since the break up with my ex and I assume will continue to do so. I still talk with the two girls also fairly frequently. Though given the chance I'm pretty sure they will side with the girl though they are fairly loyal and smart.

At first my ex and I were friendly but awkward after things. Soon after my ex told me while we were talking that she felt that she could not be friends any more. So we have not talked or seen each other for over a month. I know that we can't keep ignoring each other and avoiding each other. Given we both go to the same church. So I was thinking that I might ask my female friends who are pretty much the same shy introverts their advice on the situation and how to slowly be friends again with my ex.
