Also called the “March of the Abolitionists,” the #SoSorry movement is dedicated to bringing “an apology for the role of Europeans in the Atlantic slave trade,” and its leaders seek to discover how they “can make amends and repair the damage.” Their idea of making amends apparently involves white people of all ages dressing themselves in yokes and chains and marching around in a pathetic display of self-hatred and white guilt. Worryingly, this movement has apparently even been incorporated into the curriculum of predominantly white schools across Europe. So, do you agree with the movement or do you think it’s completely ridiculous? Do you think it’s rational for white people to feel this guilty about crimes committed by their ancestors from several hundred years ago?

I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 21. We have dated for 7 months now but before we dated we knew each other for a year. When I'm with him, everything is so simple. Talking about anything and everything is always so fun, even when it is just about our day. We know each other very well now, we are completely unmasked, and I always feel at home with him. He's the first person that I've ever felt this clingy towards. He is one of few I have fun with hanging out one-on-one.
But it's finals week. I'm used to seeing him for a couple hours every day, but sometimes he has to study for an exam for a day or two. Whenever this happens, I get really lonely. My roommate also moved out so I'm in a room by myself. I have a friend group, but we don't hang out individually because we click better as a group, and some members are living off-campus so we can't get together every night like we used to. It takes a very special person for me to like hanging out with them one-on-one since I do much better in groups, and because of that, when he leaves I don't have much to do.
The hobbies I tried to develop fell through (making bracelets--I broke the needle. Got frustrated as hell) and clubs on campus seem more interested in spicing up resumes rather than actually doing stuff. I'm a little different, so are my friends, so it's hard to find someone for me to really enjoy being around.
So I'll sit in my dorm, watch YouTube and I'll feel guilty for wasting the day away. I get great grades and everything, I work out and try to eat healthily, but I guess I want to know-what are fun, cheap, productive things to do by yourself? I hate to burden him. Is it unhealthy how much I cling onto him? Is it weird I have issues with one-on-one relationships?
