Note: When I mean "leave your friends" I don't mean because of something super important came up like your family member is in a car wreck or your house is on fire with your dog in it (I hope that never happens to any of you guys by the way).

I mean lets say you have specific guy/girl time planned out with your friends and you are hanging out with them and having a decent time or maybe even a great time and suddenly this one specific person that you are not in a relationship with text you or calls you and asks to hang out with them non sexually. Do you drop everything and dip on your friends for that person? Do you tell them later I'm with friends? Ignore them until you're done? Or Invite them over to where you are? And if you decide to leave your friends, what would be the reasoning behind it? Why can that person pull you from your friends so fast no matter the time your having?

I see this happen a lot and personally I know a couple of my friends who'll leave a good time to be with one person even though they're not in a relationship. I think its pretty interesting but they never really give up the circumstances behind their sudden departure. A lot of us think its something urgent or a booty call but no its them doing stuff with so and so like errands or something which depending on the situation is the literal opposite of enjoyable. Why would they do that to themselves?

So I have no interest in dating rn. And this guy has been bothering me to give him a chance. So I say yes we can date. We were texting on the phone. He cracked a joke about how he didn't know females fart. So I tell him "you got jokes huh?". So he laughs and I say I know u got a female family member that light up the room. He say yeah and asks if I do and I say yeah my cousin. This is where I start to feel disrespected. He asks me is she older and how old is she? I'm wondering why is all these questions necessary? Am I overreacting? Or am I right about him showing interest in my cousin?
