I am planning to message him, but I am not sure exactly what to say. We're just acquaintances, but he's a very close friend to my best friend. We've known each other since we were like 12, but we didn't really have a friendly conversation, only casual talks. He was a schoolmate, a batch mate, actually. During high school, he had a girlfriend. I never really heard of him since he left our city for college. It's only when he graduated and returned to our city when I heard he is single. At present we just randomly message each other with well wishes or if we need to talk something over. The frequency of our interactions makes me believe we are acquaintances. The conversations are usually why have I not done this or am I wrong. The topics feel like a conversation one would have with a friend. I am not sure what to consider him, friend, acquaintance or neither?
