I met him half year ago from a dating app.
We hanged out Several times (mainly go hiking /dinner ) and then he confessed on our third date but I refused. I thought it’s too early , the feeling wasn’t there yet and he’s only 2years older than me I felt like I need someone mature and stable.

After refusing him , he started distance himself from me. I blocked him. ( I know it’s weird but that’s what I did to respond)

I unblocked him last month and we began to chat but yea it’s unlike how we used to.
Then recently we had sex.
The feeling has became stronger and I really like him.
I know I’m also not ready for a relationship (so does he) I’m okay to be his friends with benefits.
The thing is he distanced himself from me again.
The last time we met he told me it’s hard to like and love me because There’s so much responsibilities and things he can’t control (as I planned to work abroad after 1year ) he asked me why did I blocked him and how bad he felt when things didn’t go the way he thought.
he said he was optimistic half year ago when he first met me now he realized there’s a lot of things he can’t do because he’s poor he can’t offer. I told him not to worry too much I didn’t ask for anything , we’re ok to keep relationship like this. He said he doesn’t worth spending time on he said he’s not handsome , poor and so.

What really hurted me is he didn’t show up on my birthday as we promised. He said he has to work and even tried to act like he forgot my birthday.

I want him back but I feel like everything he did is pushing me away.
We stopped talking to each other for a week and I recently posted somethings that might make him thought I was seeing someone. I don’t want him to leave. What should I do?

My Boyfriend of 3 years now. We live together & for the most part have been good. We connect very well. However, he has been insisting in having a family together now. I have been so hesitant for various of reasons. I am mother of 13 year old twins. Divorced. & because kids are expensive & big responsibility. A lot of my current freedom will be lost again. My kids are older and a bit more independent. I just felt that I was not ready for that step yet, at time. Time has passed and I had truly had a talk w/him. I do see a future w/ him & him as well. I took serious months to think and decided to this. We have already made a plan. I would just work part time once the baby was born or work something out with my current employer to work at home (especially since my employer would be okay with that). I told him we need to have scheduled sex. Meaning there will be times we have to do it even though we are not on the mood to. However, last night I told him I was ovulating and we needed to have sex. He goes and says man…right now? Why? I’m tired (he did not work that day), I’m too lazy. Why do we have to do it right now? Can we do it another time?
Today …I had another conversation and I just blew up on him and reminded him what we talked about. How we needed to have unexpected or scheduled sex. He was aware of what we needed to do. Now…just made me doubt myself about this whole process and make me feel as I no longer want to proceed with this. I told him I don’t think you’re fully committed and ready for this. I don’t think I want have anymore kids. Especially like this. Where I feel I jumped in 100% now and he just backs off and just tells me he just was not in the mood?
I storm off… cool down. I was upset. I come back to apologize to him 15 mins later. For him to say. It doesn’t have to be that time you want it to be? We have time to do it? Really? I told you how it worked and I get this answer?

Did I overreacted?

I’m 27 but don’t really feel like it. Raised in a conservative home, and also because I’m on the autism spectrum and have anxiety, I haven’t had much exposure to dating. To prove I fit in with the young adult community, I’ve been reading and learning all about relationships. I want to fit in with my peers. I figure I’ll be more socially accepted if I do so. I want to just, prove to everyone and other users on Girls ask Guys that I’m not a little girl anymore. I’m grown up, and I’m ready to stop being cutesy and ready to be sexy.
