Hey all,

so today, I’ve had some embarrassing things happen to me. I think a lot of people would say its not a big deal but I’m shy AF and I overthink everything. I have social anxiety too which makes everything worse. Def feel like my coworkers think I’m stupid but I’ve been told I tend to over exaggerate and tend to think things are much worse than they seem. Let me know what you think.

How embarrassing are these on a scale of 1-5 (1 being not at all and 5 being really embarrassing)?

a) During a meeting, I responded to a coworker without actually answering the question. I misinterpreted what they said and blabbed about something else that was somewhat relevant but didn’t make much sense as a response to the question.
b) i got called on by my boss to share some ideas while I was doing something else. I knew what to say but I freaked out because I was caught off guard and said “ummm” a bunch of times before I was able to respond with 1 sentence. It took about 20 seconds before I could respond. I didn’t even say what I wrote down.
